Thankful for the war memorial to honor those who served in our military. We came here originally over a decade ago thanks to a geocache and were back today for a Scouting event. I was unaware of the controversy the last few years regarding the Union and Confederate soldiers being depicted with a child here, until I saw the damage to the monument. Security cameras are now in use at this site.

Be sure to take a ride on the Disney Monorail, even if you don't need to (there's no charge if you are in the park already). It's a fun experience offered almost nowhere else in the world, and it gives a scenic view of the area, similar to the Skyliner (also strongly recomended). Our family enjoyed it immensely and strongly encourage others to take the trip on a train like no other. God bless and have a great day.

We are very thankful for the continued maintenance on the Grand Haven Pier and lighthouses. Please don't walk out in storms or on the ice. Many people have died here and there are memorials posted for the some of them who drowned in the early 2000s, but many others are not listed.
