The river is right next to the Confucius temple and the buildings around them offer a glimpse of the traditional Chinese architecture. There is a walking street here which houses a buzzling market.

A small bus station where one could get busses to nearby towns - Thrissur, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Shoranur etc. A few tea stalls are avl, but toilet and other facilities are absent. Located closer to the railway station.

This is a great walking area for all. The pavements are well laid out and the view wonderful. The tank bund walking area startsfrom here all the way to the other end - lumbini park.
