Building is really old and they have different finishes in different units. We got the one in an older and more run down condition. Which is fine but the windows have little to no insulation. One window in the bedroom could not close fully and they did not do anything about it. During the last snow storm early this year, we had snow coming into the apartment - it’s ridiculous for the price you pay. Elevators are horrible. Constant breakdowns. It’s fine if you’re mobile and lives on lower levels. But with a stroller, we just had to wait. With the massive increase in rent, we decided to move and we are lots happier with the new place.
Always had bad experience with John. Seems to have an attitude problem? ALWAYS rude even when I’m all smiles and saying thanks.
Pros: Maintenance and package room staff were great. Shoutout to Jaspal and Martin. Always friendly, helpful and willing to go that extra mile to help you. Maintenance is also really quick with tickets.
We didn’t have rats/mice/cockroaches issue. We stayed there for almost a year and only had one roach in the kitchen - great record for nyc apartments?
It’s really convenient, right beside Q and it’s fully sheltered with accessible elevators for strollers. Walking distance from 6. Close to grocery stores. Health club has gym and indoor pool - note that you’ll have to pay a membership fee (pretty reasonable).

Ordered a large flaming brown sugar milk tea. Usually they have the crunchy caramelised bits but there wasn’t any today. Their popcorn chicken is great but which they had consistent pricing across the stores in midtown and UES. It’s $1 more. $6.9 in UES VS $5.9 in midtown

Was in the store because my mum saw a pair of boots that caught her eye. The salesperson was using his phone before we got in but he got up to greet us which we thought was really nice. My mum tried on 2 pairs which she said was really comfortable but because her feet were on the wider side, it didn’t fit her as well.
My mum’s first language isn’t english and was trying to explain what she was looking for by saying she wants a similar pair to what she was wearing and the sales person just got irritated and said they don’t make shoes like that because they are handmade in Italy and along the lines of how their shoes can’t be compared with other store bought shoes.
