Nikki Russell (Hoss-Nikki)

Lots of history here and a great view across the river of National Harbor. This is a fantastic park for kids because in the summer when it's hot there's still a good breeze under the bridge, you can bring bikes, scooters, etc and let the kids run wild. Even if it's raining, it's dry under the bridge! The temperature in summer is usually 8 to 10 degrees cooler than outside, and in winter it's usually about 10 degrees warmer. The playground area is completely fenced in.

Cons: I've reached out to the park authority regarding broken benches in the playground area and a need to pressure wash \clean it up a bit. Otherwise it's fantastic

What a wonderful little stop! I came through on a weekend with my service dog, and got great advice and fabulous goodies at the store. The apple cider is AMAZING. The prices were fantastic for so many local grown goodies. I will definitely be back!

What a fantastic little museum just overflowing with history! I learned a lot, enjoyed several interactive displays, and the staff was wonderful. Will 100% go back next time I'm in the area!
