Came here as a group of 21 for work dinner. We opted for their 3-course menu and pre-ordered our meal.

Service was great throughout. Friendly and attentive. They even had our order printed out on name cards.

Mine was Carpaccio di Manzo, Branzino San Carlo, and Torta Setteveli.

Food and drink came out at reasonable time. The food was ok. Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed the night.

My friends came here specifically for coffee but as I'm a non-coffee drinker, I ordered Matcha Latte.

Everything was ordered via their QR code and you'd go to their counter to collect the drinks. Service was minimal.

The Match Latte was ok. Very frothy, not milky or creamy but had a kick of umami flavour of the matcha. The texture was not what I expected and so I was somewhat disappointed but the flavour was spot on.
However, my friends were disappointed with their coffee. Despite being a coffee house, they were just average in my friends' opinion. Nothing to rave about.

Food portion was generous if just one person eating, and the uncle was friendly allowing us to order from elsewhere to eat at his place.

Pricey though. Touristy place for tourists not for the locals. The images on their 'menu' (banner) are deceiving and the flavours were average to bland.

We hired the room upstairs with afternoon tea for a private event. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated. The room had cosy and peaceful Western atmosphere.

Note that I'm reviewing this afternoon tea from a British perspective. To me, the afternoon tea was amazing. Obviously, it's not the same as the ones in England but I prefer this Malaysian version because of the variety of pastries (compared to the typical finger sandwiches and Danish pastries) and the fresh fruits. Everything had its own unique flavours and textures, and they weren't overly sweet or salty. There were unlimited tea refills too.

There's one thing I'd like to point out is the portion size for an afternoon tea for two. It was slightly on the smaller side and it was just enough for satisfaction. Also, it was a bit awkward to split the slice of cake even if the two people have known each other for years.

Overall experience was positive and I'd recommend this tearoom.

Met up with some friends here and it was kind of quiet on a Friday around 2pm. Many stalls were closed until the evening but there was still a variety of stalls to choose from.

Stall: Sarawak wanton mee (dry). Ooh, I liked this one because of the salty and vinegary flavours. Maybe it's my Britishness where we're famous for fish and chips?! 🤣 It didn't taste like the usual wanton mee (saltier in my opinion) so it's worth trying the Sarawak version if you're up for a change.

Stall: Pan mee - it's a mix of Hakka and Hokkien homemade noodles in soup. The broth was tasty and the noodles were silky smooth. It's a simple dish not something to rave about.

Stall: Pig's trotters. - Yep, my parents (non foodies) chose that out of everything, and had the pig trotters been good then I'd boast about it. Unfortunately, they weren't good at all. Still quite chewy, more of the skin and less of the collagen, and the sauce was very watery and bland despite the dark colour.

Stall: Char hor fun - Flat rice noodle in silky egg sauce. This is another 'simple' dish to recommend. The portion was generous and it was tasty. Nothing to rave about though.
