Every time I come to SD the first thing I say is "Let's go to City Tacos!" This time we went to the downtown location. Walking in, the music was playing loudly, not many people were there, and there was a strong smell of floor cleaner. We ordered and sat down first outside, but didn't like how loud the street was or how dirty the table was. Went inside, order arrived. 4 tacos, beer and mineral water - $13.

I didn't realize that the tortilla was going to be flour, and the cashier 💙kindly💙 exchanged it for a fresh corn tortilla. Amazing. We had fish tacos, asked for grilled rather than fried. What I liked about it was that there wasn't much oil, and if we had asked for salt it would have been even more tasty.

My main and serious problem with the meal was that there was one tiny little cube of fresh onion, which I am allergic to, and had explained when ordering. I unknowingly took one bite, spit it out and grabbed my EpiPen. Fortunately, my throat didn't close all the way and I was left with a swollen throat/ear, but I could still breathe. Not cool.

My friend loved his tacos and beer.

Great thin, not salty pizza. Not many topping options though, and too pricy. Nice seating on a terrace next to a park. Staff was efficient and courteous.

Quiet hours of the day with groovy music make for a nice rest in the busy market. I ate the Milano toast and had an iced coffee which were we'll made. The barista Shira spoke English with me, was receptive to my requests and everything came out nicely. I really appreciate the prompt service and chill environment. The cafe is nicely decorated and the street it looks out on is not a noisy/busy one, which makes for nice people watching.

*The only things that could possibly improve would be the type of the bread for the toast - like a thicker homemade one (it was more like egg or Hala bread.)

Love this place for dancing salsa and bachata. They have a great production here with a large dance hall with so much space for main events and two smaller rooms for other dance styles. It's so cool to take a break and go dance something else, with a whole other set of people. The classes are varied in levels, most of the teachers move at a good place, and classes don't start tooooo late. What else to say? The music is fantastic. The bathrooms super large and clean.
