I had 30 minutes before the Asian Art Museum opened and needed somewhere to hang. Seems like a neighborhood bar as I noticed a few folks greet other with with familiarity. Lots of electrical outlets so I suspect that it gets packed during the workweek.
The downside is that when I asked for the code for the restroom but it took forever so I left without getting it. Never had that issue when I’ve asked for the code at the other locations.

Dahlia Garden

The dahlias just started to bloom (early to mid July). Spoke with one the volunteers who said that some of the varieties will bloom through October! Definitely worth checking out the official flower of San Francisco if you’re in the area. It’s right at the start of the JFK Promenade by the Conservatory of Flowers. Many other sights in the park are nearby such as the De Young, Academy of Sciences, Japanese Tea Garden, Botanical Gardens and Stowe Lake. Love the park and all the great things that it offers for locals and visitors.

Unless you’re looking for it, then you may just pass by this redwood grove. Although it is right next to heavy foot traffic from the JFK Promenade or the Rose Garden, this is often very quiet. Dog walkers, runners or bikers may pass through. If you’ve never been in a redwood grove, then stop by. The temperature is noticeably cooler. Touch/hug a tree and just appreciate the beauty’s.
Rose Garden

Every now and then you have to stop and smell the roses. Went there yesterday (June 10th) and it’s going off! I was not the only one admiring the beautiful roses and wondering which ones have a scent. Saw folks painting or having a picnic. It’s in between two redwood groves and close to the De Young, Japanese Tea Garden, and Stowe Lake.

This place was amazing! We parked near the border of the US and Mexico then walked across. It was a 10 minute Uber ride (Lyft doesn't work.). Food was delish and we shared several plates of fish tacos. I have to say that salad with corn ejotes was so fresh.
The sommelier, Gabby, was very passionate about her profession and helped us pick the perfect wine to go with our ribeye steak. We picked a wine from Vinos Nivel. The dessert was fantastic.
