KEN “ログキャビン”

At first glance, it looks like a clock tower, but the dial with Pegel-Uhr is a water level gauge, and the clock is mounted on a plane parallel to the river. The long hand indicates m and the short hand indicates cm. This 19th century level meter is no longer functional.
This riverside area, called the Rhine Promenade, is a pleasant place for an early morning stroll with a refreshing breeze blowing over the vigorously flowing Rhine. The picture was taken at 9:30 in the morning, but the hands of the clock pointed to 12:00.

ここ葉山の上山口地区は海岸から東へ離れた横須賀市に近い山間にあります。葉山にこんな長閑な田園風景が....と驚かされます。米は地元の農家の皆さんの食糧として栽培されています。車で周辺を回れますが道は狭くアップダウンがあります。近くには蕎麦屋の和か菜があり、一番奥のテーブル席の大窓はこの棚田を借景にしています。お味の方も脱サラから修行を積まれ数年前から格段に美味しくなりました。また葉山カントリークラブやツツジの綺麗な湘南国際村も近くにあり、海岸から離れた葉山を楽しむことが出来ます。
