Great view of Coquitlam Lake and the valley here.

The actual viewpoint area is SMALL. There can only really be 1 group of maybe 8 people on the rocks where you can actually see everything... so go early or you might be waiting for a turn.
Lost Lake

Lost Lake is smaller than neighboring Blue Gentian Lake but still quite nice.

The hike in is not too far but steady incline from the residential area trailhead. Needless to say, the hike back is much easier.

The lake is still frozen with snow all around in April and maybe later.
Great set of trails in this area around Brothers Creek. There are a lot of options and loops, but the junctions are all well marked. The popular stops are Lost Lake and Blue Gentian Lake - you can hit both and loop back to your car in roughly 4 hours average pace.

The trail maps on Google are fairly accurate, except around Lost Lake it doesn't show the trails (yet?).

Parking is free in the residential area near the official trail heads but you can also enter into the woods and follow the bike paths upwards until you hit part of the Baden Powell trail.

I recommend downloading the offline maps before you go because cell service is spotty.
Shannon Park

Small, quiet neighborhood park just off busy Granville Street. It has a baseball diamond and enough space for a small soccer game.
Lewarne Park

This "park" is mostly a basketball court and a grassy area near the road.

There's an outdoor pool that's open during the summer months. It has a pool, a kid pool, and more grass space inside the fenced area.
