Above George Town in the Chinese Chamber of Commerce lives a fine dine Malay style restaurant.

Classy decor and presentation, with decent taste (except the dessert) and pizazz. A nice blend of fresh ingredients and styles, chock full of lemongrass and local herbs and spices.

Loved the baked 🐟 and pandan 🐔, and the kerabu was mighty fine. The creamy grainy dessert was a little sour and textured like curdled milk.

Service was fair and space was a little small, and parking is tough any day of the week.
Delicious exotic meats traditional Nepali style in a comfy courtyard restaurant.

Good wholesome sets that come fairly quickly - decent value and neat presentation. Mutton and wild boar options are a must-try.

Chill atmosphere with group seating and not too crowded. Pricing is reasonable around 800 - 1k Rupees per set meal.

Tasty Chinese noodley goodness now with high-powered air-conditioning!

Handmade fish balls and dumplings and grumpy staff squeezing between tables for the full Chinese experience.

Get a pot of Chinese tea and top it up endlessly on your own, and polish off all that good food with moon cake. They'll even cut it up for you.

Portion size is decent and pricing is most reasonable. Parking is tough since it's right smack in the middle of George Town.
Second to its older Desaru sibling, this branch is a paltry chip off the old coral.

Food is fair, with decent portion size and reasonable taste. Service is a little lacking, with the staff barely speaking any of the local languages, and the boss appears to only want to converse in mandarin.

We were with friends who had halal needs, which they attempted to accommodate. The place was empty, which made the long wait a little puzzling.

They gave us a private room and brought in a cooler fan, which was a nice touch.

The exterior is nicely adorned and themed, but the chilli 🦀 gave us cramps. The 🐟 was superbly fresh, and parking was abundant just outside the shop.
Hakka and Chinese noodles and rice dishes in a comfy cafe but at kopitiam price!

The noodle soup dishes are all pretty solid, and the chicken chop rice is amaze balls. Hakka mee is a little bit of a let down, but otherwise good stuff.

Service is quick and staff are friendly. Plus on a Sunday it's the only eatery in the area with air-conditioning.
