Perfect food!
I ordered their lamb shank over rice (never tried afghan food before) and it was really good.
The rice was fluffy, the sweet carrots added a nice balance and the lamb was cooked to perfection.
They also added a side of salad so great service too.
Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Came back to this store for the first time in months. Prices are INSANE. And there is simply no justification for it, items are not organic nor local, literally just the same quality as other supermarkets, just much more expensive. Their fresh products section used to be good as I used to go to Sobeys for years but now, unless you are looking for a specific item, it’s really not worth it to shop here.

As a disclaimer, it looks like they lowered the price of a few selected items after realizing they probably aimed way too high, like the olive oil in the attached picture 😅

Unfortunately, an awful experience. I came to this diner on purpose before leaving NY as it appears as “one of the best diners in the city” if you search on google. Wow.
They have a long menu, but somehow the waiters looked to be in a rush and came to my table twice in a matter of a minute to make me order. Had to order something I already knew as they would just keep coming back so that’s already a big negative aspect.
Sure the food was ready in 5 minutes but it looked like someone ate half of my potatoes (pic) plus they were either burned or completely tasteless. Never understood why potatoes are so bad at every diner I’ve been to. The lox eggs benedict were bad too, they also never asked how I’d like the eggs to be cooked, and I was always asked this at any other brunch spot. Never had such a sour lox served before, I just need to hope I won’t get sick. The portion was so small (yes in a diner that supposedly serves big portions) that I had to order pancakes as I was still hungry. 2 plain pancakes? $10. Extremely rude cashier (looked to be the owner/manager?) too that doesn’t even look at you while she just reaches for your bill. Everything done in such a rush that I have no idea what % of tips she included. Overall I can’t even say that the place was very clean, my plate was impossible to touch because of how oily the bottom part was. I do not recommend it at all.

Been going to this mall for years. While it’s definitely not the best in terms of options nor the cleanliest, I just do wonder one thing: what is security paid for here? What do you do? Why are you even here to begin with if you do NOTHING? I had a friend who parked his electric bike outside (locked) just to quickly pick up something inside. He got out to find a person trying to steal his bike and security, while of course doing nothing and not even bothering to call the police, started telling my friend not to fight with the thief. I repeat: security was telling my friend, the owner of the bike, not to fight for his own bike while it was getting stolen while security was just watching.
If you are apparently not allowed to be armed and don’t do anything at all anyways when something happens, what are you paid for? I’m honestly curious. Seems like the easiest job ever.

BE CAREFUL ORDERING FOOD HERE!

How to very quickly go from 5 to 1 star: stopped by to pick up my order on time to catch an employee behind the counter unwrapping vegetables from their plastic, NOT WASHING THEM, and immediately cutting them to then place them in the bowls on the counter.
If this is how veggies are treated, just imagine what’s happening with raw fish.

WOW. Tried it for the first time and not only the portions are huge but the flavors are absolutely amazing. Very generous toppings. Don’t change!
