Atlanta Breakfast Club
2023 Sep 01
My recent visit to the Atlanta Breakfast Club, located at 249 Ivan Allen Jr Blvd NW, was a rather disappointing experience, especially after an enjoyable visit to the Georgia Aquarium.
To start, the host made our party of eight wait for a significant amount of time before seating us. While I understand that accommodating a large group can be challenging, it would have been appreciated if the wait time had been more reasonable, especially considering we were all quite hungry after our aquarium visit.
Upon finally being seated, we were taken aback to discover that the restaurant did not serve any water, not even tap water. Instead, patrons were required to purchase bottled water. Water is a basic necessity, and the absence of complimentary water service felt unusual and inconvenient.
As for the food, I opted for the special of the day, a waffle with chicken. Regrettably, the dish was marred by an unnecessary amount of sugar on top of the waffle, which made it overly sweet and not very enjoyable. The combination of flavors did not work well together, and the overall quality of the food was subpar.
In summary, the Atlanta Breakfast Club left much to be desired. The extended wait time for seating, the absence of complimentary water, and the disappointing quality of the food all contributed to a less-than-pleasant dining experience. I would hesitate to recommend this establishment, particularly if you're seeking a satisfying and enjoyable meal after a visit to the Georgia Aquarium.

I had a wonderful experience visiting the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University with my wife and 2-year-old son. It turned out to be a fantastic outing for our little one, as he absolutely loved all the animal displays. He was fascinated by seeing creatures from various continents and different places in North America. The presence of live animals, arachnids, turtles, and bugs captivated his attention.
One of the highlights was the availability of live animals to observe up close. The Academy truly offers an educational and engaging experience for visitors of all ages.
Moreover, parking was hassle-free, with plenty of street parking available and parking garages nearby. It made our visit even more convenient.
We had a memorable time at the Academy of Natural Sciences, and I would highly recommend it to families seeking an enriching and enjoyable day exploring the wonders of the natural world.

Thai Square Restaurant

Thai Square is my neighborhood's local Thai restaurant, and although I've only visited twice, I found their food to be pretty good. My wife and I went there for dinner on a quiet weekday, with only one other table occupied. We tried the Thai beef salad, crab fried rice, and pad thai. While the food was generally okay, the fried rice was a bit too salty for my taste. The pad thai was enjoyable, and the portion size was regular, not overly large. If you've never had Thai beef salad before, I recommend trying it, but be cautious of the sour dressing – you might want it on the side. Overall, I'd come back here again, and I'd suggest Thai Square for a casual dining experience.
