This place has been open only with a cart in front of the actual bakery for at least past couple years I think. Not sure why they don’t accomodate customers into their bakery. Because it’s been only with a cart, I haven’t been curious enough to try out but grabbed couple of those pastries recently.

Pastry parts overall felt crunchy, thin, and little bit dry. Pastry itself was neither yay nor nay for me. I just imagined that’s how german style pastry is. I liked the flavor of savory tomato one but not so much for raspberry sweet cheese one. Latter had very subtle flavor of anything, so it wasn’t exactly spot on to my palate.

Loved the vibe and a cocktail I had, with a caveat that I only stayed for short amount of time. Tentative 5 star mainly to remind myself that I’d like to revisit this bar. One concern though is that this whole place seemed to have a layout of very thin and long space, which I think that makes it much more easily crowded and packed.

Good varieties of foods served incl rice/noodle/meat/sea foods with caveats that there are hit-and-miss.

This was my team’s go-to lunch delievery place in the past from one of my previous employer so kinda nostalgic spot for me. It was only delivery then so I made some visits many years after I changed my job. And now I have very ambivalent feeling about this place.

One of Lo Mein like dish was below mediocre cause the noodle’s texture was as if it was left in water for too long time. And whatever random pork dish I tried came out with medium temperature, and such temperature is really not a good fit with fatty meats like pork, so it was very unpleasant.

I generally liked their soup noodle dish though. Laksa was very unique taste experience with sweet/fishy/sour/spicy taste all combined and well balanced in one dish while clear noodle had great texture. Prawn Mee is spicy soup noodle with seafoods in it so I enjoyed it pretty good too. Do note that both dishes have quite distinct fishy smell so you wanna avoid it if you can’t deal with it.

I love Roti Canai cause it has both of great crispy and chewy texture across its parts and it’s so deliciously well with curry sauce.

Unfortunately I’m really not sure if I’d be actively planning to revisit this place in the future. Might revisit if I’m passing by and hungry.

Prawn Mee

I learned from this place soba doesn’t always mean that Japanese style noodle
made out of buckwheat, soba’s first meaning is actually “buckwheat” while the noodle is the 2nd.

That being said, soba latte was very intriguing, nothing that hits my preference right away but something grows in me as I keep sipping. 한국식으론 미숫가루 음료 마시는 느낌 많이 나더라구요.

Macha cookie was amazing, subtle amount of macha so not very bitter but yet slightly sweet and perfectly chewy with the texture I love so much.

Probably not soon cause it’s not in the area where I’m active, but certainly would like to revisit whenever I’m around.

One of my friend from the past leaked that there is this Korean-Uzbek restaurant somewhere deep south in Brooklyn. It was such a random cuisine I’ve ever heard of, so never forgot about it for many years and somehow managed to search it out from Google map.

Btw, I’m Korean.

-Koosi(국수): Very strange and yet familiar taste at the same time. What I mean is that I can’t exactly name any Korean dish that is equivalent to this one, but the taste hits my mother tongue and old memory. I loved it and wish I could have this more often. 미역냉국에 단맛을 덜고 매콤한 맛을 더한 냉면의 온도를 가진 국수요리…. 라고 표현해볼수 있겠네요. 정말 맛있었습니다.
-Manti(만두): Dumpling skin was very nice and something I was familiar with, but the inside is something quite different from Korean cuisine, so I suspect it’s more Uzbek type. Sour cream was really no no combination for me though.
-Egg salad(forgot exact name): can’t say this menu was anything special, but have to say I enjoyed it very very much. And it also went very well with the breads we ordered as side menu.

My guess is that the owner herself or her great grandfathers are those who had to escape from Korea during Korean war (고려족?). I regret so much for not talking to the owner who kindly came to us, introduced herself, and offered serving foods for us.

Will def make my visit again sometime later.
