Reviews

Delicious!! The wait was a little bit longer than expected for food to arrive, but once it did, all was forgiven - generous portions, scrumptious and criminally cheap (coming from aus). Must try!
Food is not as the fotos you see on the reviews, I think someone took over and changed the whole menu. They made everything very simple with less ingredients and no taste at all. We ate here two times thinking we must have ordered the wrong food but everything was bad, unfortunately for us… The service was nice.
This place is actually kind of a mix of many restaurants altogether - you can order from 4 different menus / "restaurants" when you come here.
Food does take a long while to arrive.
My partner loved his falafel quinoa wrap and said it was amazing.
However I got the cauliflower "chick'n" veggie wrap and it was stunningly flavourless -- the califlower had no seasoning, the wrap was hardly full, and there was literally no sauce at all in the wrap. I asked for garlic dressing and it made the wrap much better -- luckily the waitress was super lovely and willing to help, but the wait staff seemed over their head a bit.

Overall I wouldn't return, especially for the price vs quality. However I did hear other people who were very happy with the food they ordered (but it was from another restaurant's menu) -- I think these businesses either need to consolidate the restaurants or create a whole menu with all the options to avoid confusion.
I’ve ordered from here multiple times and the food has always been good and we’ve never gotten sick.
Great food options. Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. Only downside is it took quite a long time for food to come out.
The first time we were here was quite good. The lentil burger didn’t have much taste but the potatoes were delicious.
We came a second time and unfortunately it was very bad. We waited for more than one hour to even get our drinks, the food took more than 1,5h to arrive. When it eventually came it was all cold and didn’t have much flavour. The fries tasted like they were at least a day old and only re-heated in a microwave. Beside that 4€ for a small beer was quite expensive and the service wasn’t very good either.
FAKE REVIEWS

We decided to eat here based on the great 4.7 stars in Google Maps. Very disappointed about the restaurant. Took over 1.5!!! hours to get our food. It was just unflavoured (no herbs) and barely warm food.

I couldn’t believe that this quality of food has 4.7 stars, so I checked the last reviews. Since a couple of weeks there are every day multiple 5 star reviews. Coincidentally many of those reviewers also give 5 star reviews to another place (Na Masté) at the same time 😅😅. Clearly fake reviews… sad, very sad.
Had a wonderful dinner at Gustu! Highly recommend. Outstanding service and explanation of drinks and dishes in both English and Spanish. High quality and attention to detail in every dish, you are there for the food and also the experience.
I had high expectations and it was definitely worth visiting. We had a three-course menu and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Besides that, the service is excellent - every time a dish would come, the waiters would give a detailed explanation of the dish and sometimes even bring the fruit/nut to show us how it is.

The cocktails were also really good. Would definitely recommend Gustu for anyone who’s looking for a Bolivian fine-dining experience.
The food and service were exceptional. The sustainable idea and the collaboration with local suppliers of meat, vegetables, etc. make all these dishes very special. The perfect wine was served to accompany each course. If you are interested in exceptional Bolivian cuisine combined with a lot of tradition, then this is the place to go.
Highly recommended!
The food tasted delicious and was very affordable - I pay BOB 88 for the chicken parmigiana which included two large sides.
The menu is only in Spanish but can easily be translated using google.
The service was good.
The only let down was the lack of atmosphere - the restaurant was totally empty at around 7pm which was a weird vibe.
What a gem. We did the tasting menu and we loved everything. The combination of flavours in each dish, the way the food was presented as well as all food was sourced from Bolívia. We spoke to the lady who runs the place, and it was fascinating to hear about the various projects that Gustu done or planning to do. The passion and being proud about Bolívia and the food comes access in so many different ways. We would love to come back. What a unique experience!
The team runs a slick service from
online booking, checking in and ordering - they were very professional. All the food were very well presented and explained. The use of local ingredients were defintiely a plus. All staff spoke English and were very friendly.

The restaurant actually closes later than 8:30pm, not like Google suggested. I think they want guests to be seated before then.

It was around 200B per person for a 3 course meal with a glass of wine.
We have loved the concept, purpose and the story behind. Especially the way of working with young culinary talents. Our tasting menu was compound of local ingredients from different corners of Bolivia and it perfectly represented variety and nature wealth of the country. We agreed that the most outstanding meal was the crocodile. The team could be proud of the work they do.
Gustu has an incredible tasting menu. The food is delicious, so well prepared and looks immaculate on the plate. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and the quality service from the staff. I highly recommend this restaurant and their tasting menu—not to mention, the price is very reasonable.
Was recommended this place by our local guide. It's an extremely local place and their lunch menu is great value. If you do order a la carte do note that the portions are huge! We weren't able to finish it all. The Pique Macho was delicious
First off we expected an 8 course meal but got a 10 course!! Definitely exceeded our expectations on every single course!

Pictures are included but bite sized treats that make you end up satiated and then some!

Very unique flavors with Bolivian inspired ingredients and culture. The decor was a mix of modern and ancient.

The service was phenomenal. They will bring your plates based on your speed and how quickly you finish each plate so I suggest take your time. Also it took us about 2 hours so budget your time accordingly.
Is a place where Locals go all the time, Good prices. I liked the Pique Macho, the Fricase Paiseño was really spicy for my taste but is a national dish you must try.
Came for lunch. The place was nearly empty. Food was ready and served in 15 minutes. The restaurant provides complimentary bread before the main dish arrives.
Margarita is a wonderful restaurant, from the wooden floors to the marble tables to the playground for the kids to the BBQ Ribs. The salads and bread where fresh and my wife and I had the grilled chicken and BB ribs. The chicken was tasty, but grilled chicken is grilled chicken, it was savory and not dry. The ribs are awesome, obviously slow cooked as the meat falls off the bone. I talked with others who are frequent patrons and they say the entire menu is outstanding! This is a great place to take the kids in the day and your date at night! The price is very reasonable for what you get. Our meal was only $30, in the states the meal would have easily cost $50 or more. Don’t let the little front fool you, it’s really big on the inside.
Great ambiance, location and food.
One of the most visited restaurants in South zone of La Paz.

You can't go wrong if you are looking for classic grill and pasta food. You won't find deconstructed or risky dishes here (like some experimental places are offering all over La Paz) which is very good for most people, and still get a complete and fine dinner experience.

Service is on par with the food, they have a couple of parking spots on front, but you can also park on the same street as the restaurant.

While it is on the pricey side, it is well worthy for any special occasion. They have special options for kids and a good variety on the menu.

O couple of observations: a couple of times they did not have the menu item I wanted, and one time they mixed my side order, none of which affected the overall experience at all.
great restaurant! it was clean and comfortable. They offer delicious meat cuts with a variety of sides like fries, yucca, rice and cheese. You can also have local commercial beer or the home brewed one.
Lovely cafe with nice interior design. Caters for vegetarians, vegans and gluten free travellers. The staff are very friendly and kind. The food is good.
Good local food with fair price
Excellent fusion restaurant. The food was superb and you could see how it was prepared.
Incredibly fresh and delicious vegan & vegetarian food, definitely no local food but a variety of tasty healthy dishes!!! During my stay I had to go eat here several times to try almost all of the mouthwatering foods because there was no better option in La Paz. Very friendly staff and a great service :) Highest hygienic standards, the prices are unbeatable!
5 stars well-earned.
Nice place... A little expensive but nice
Worst ever experience that got both me and my husband extremely sick the next day. Restaurant is dirty and most likely food is too. Be careful. We got food poisoning that paralyzed us for the next day so far..
Great, high quality food!!!! Simple menú, specific choices. Basic recipes with real flavor and a touch of tradition. The beef and pork always a perfect choice.
A mi me encanto el fricase. Good food. Large plates.. Fair price.
Reasonable quality, huge quantity and very low price
