Pretty neat and big world class airport. The international terminal has everything you might find anywhere else, restaurants and coffeeshops, lounges, clean restrooms, travelators etc. The only thing I missed are drinking water fountains, even though the internet says you can drink tap water in Chile, some people would prefer a better option than filling bottles in the restrooms.
Unfortunately the airport is not accessed by the great public transit system in Santiago. Ubers are a good option, but as of February 2024 they don't have a designated area for ride sharing drivers to pick you up as they do in other countries, so you might get a message in Spanish from them to arrange a meet up spot which is usually at the departure hall (second floor). The other terminal (domestic) is not in such a great shape on the other hand, but it's not terrible either, it just needs to undergo some renovations and modernization.

I recently visited the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport and was pleasantly surprised by the major improvements it has undergone over the years. The new international terminal, in particular, left me impressed with its spacious layout, providing ample room for guests to move around comfortably. Compared to the crowded atmosphere of the past, the new terminal offers a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for travelers.
However, while the international terminal shines, the domestic terminal still has room for improvement. It felt somewhat cramped and lacked the same level of organization and efficiency. The contrast between the two terminals was noticeable, highlighting the need for further enhancements to ensure consistency throughout the airport.
In addition to the terminal improvements, I must mention my disappointment with the dining options, particularly in the domestic terminal. The restaurants fell short of expectations, with subpar offerings that left much to be desired. Specifically, my experience at McDonald’s was less than satisfactory, as they struggled to get our order right. It was a frustrating experience that detracted from an otherwise positive visit to the airport.
Overall, while there are areas that could be improved, the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport has undoubtedly made significant strides in providing a more pleasant travel experience. With continued efforts to enhance facilities and services, it has the potential to become a top-notch airport destination.

This airport is a shame to South America.
Firstly, there are no comfy places to sit. Good luck if you have to do long connections because you will have to sit on zero cushioning chairs (if not on the cold floor) which are all linked to a restaurant.
Also, do they even turn the aircon on at all!
But the worst part is that there’s NO DRINKING BOTTLE REFILL STATIONS. You will have to spend a ridiculous amount of money in bottled water and produce a lot of plastic waste when the whole world is trying to do the opposite. Also, isn’t drinking water a human right? Why is Chilean airport not providing it to people that will stay there for hours waiting for connections.
In addition, as it is an international airport I would expect at least basic English levels from the information desk staff. Not in this airport, so I hope your Spanish is great, cause no other language is spoken there.
Also, it is dirty, no healthy food options available. Everything screams “you are not welcome “. I’ll avoid Latam’s flights as much as I can as they stop at this airport and I don’t want to step into this place ever again.

They were lined up on the boarding bridge for the plane doing a "security search" and taking all liquids. even things bought at duty free like wine that we are ALLOWED TO HAVE. They claimed it was due to us regulations but thatcis not true. They confiscate these items probably to resell, com not sure. But you have no choice but to comply or not get on the plane. Don't waste your time in duty free, they will take it from you.
Excelencia en el servicio. Atención. Calidez. Soluciones !!!!!
Very nicely clean airport. Easy to get to and get through the airport. Some great restaurants are there once you get through the immigration.
Nice airport. Looks clean and pretty easy to navigate. Immigration part is very new plus the mountain views are pretty cool
I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience at the Santiago de Chile International Airport. As an international traveler, I expect at least a basic level of English proficiency from the staff, especially in key areas such as information desks and baggage handling. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Additionally, all announcements were made exclusively in Spanish, which was very frustrating for me as a non-Spanish speaker. For an airport that brands itself as international, I find this language barrier inappropriate and outdated. It significantly hindered my travel experience.
Excelente el FBO, las instalaciones son cómodas, modernas y funcionales.
Excelente, muy bonito y funcional,muy limpio,admirable.
Reconocido en el mundo entero por ser un gran FBO, mis felicitaciones.
A very long walk from our international arrival gate to passport control. That was fast, though. The. A long wait for baggage. And since we were travelling on, we had to recheck our bags. LATAM continues to demonstrate horrible customer service (since my first flight with them in 2016). There was only a single attendant at baggage recheck, the self service was offline, and she had to put new luggage check bands on even though my bags were checked through to La Serena from my Seattle departure.
No bars or restaurants to sit at between 22:00 and the morning. It's supposed to be International airport, not the village hole... People arrive or go to different time zones and cannot relax here. Very far from high standard airports. There are also limitions, you cannot have a beer just like that, it have to be a proper hour and a meal to go with it...
The facilities are good. But the staff are great. Very helpful and in my case at LATAM their English language skills were perfect. The duty free shopping is pretty good too. The food and service at Loyola is great 👍
Va mejorando en calidad de servicio.
It’s one of the best airports in South America, clean, spacious, and fairly fast to ho through. Lots of work still to be done, and quite expensive with souvenirs almost 5 times more expensive than in downtown. Don’t leave your last minute shopping for the airport!
Nice airport - if you can speak Spanish would be much easier
!!! ATTENTION: Taxi scammers !!!
Only take taxis that you ordered yourself (don’t accept if someone approaches you at the exit) !!! Best is to take Uber.
For the airport-organisation: please fight against the scammers. They destroy the reputation of the entire country Chile!

This security guy yelled at us to go to the wrong line even we had preferred access, such a shame for an international airport to have this kind of service people to disgrace them
San Tiago airport was the worst airport we’ve ever been to. The slowness and rudeness of the staffs are just unbelievable. I don’t understand how an international airport can be so poorly run. They really need to boost their efficiency and train their staffs better
I flew in here on a Saturday morning in August. There were hardly any queues. The airport itself was on the smaller side. Not a lot to do here, but my journey through the airport was seamless. For the lack of stress 5/5.
The airport is nice, clean and attractive.
Unfortunately we had issues using cash at departures and also exchanging cash and both times the Chilean airport staff (MCDonalds and Cambio) expected us to pay more because they didn’t have the change available.
Being the departure gate we obviously wanted to use the last of our Chilean pesos but were advised that they don’t have change to give because cards are now typically used.
It wasn’t a big deal but a bit disappointing.
Also, would be nice if ground staff smiled a little and helped guests to feel welcome in a foreign country.

Genial
A very clean and well laid out airport. The only drawback was the exceptionally long line in customs. Be sure to allow you and your party time to get through security as it took much longer than most airports. Once you’re through security, the airport is easy to navigate with plenty of gift shops and restaurants to choose from.
Easy to get to and from South terminal in Santiago next to University of Santiago on red line , 1800peso to go 1600 to come back go to station 23 24 at sur terminal (not central station which is one metro stop away) buy ticket there. Easy airport 2 in and out
Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, Chile, is an above-average airport with clean facilities, spacious concourses, and helpful signage in both Spanish and English. Customs lines move quickly, though there are over-eager taxi drivers outside. Overall, a comfortable and efficient travel experience.
I felt Santiago de Chile airport (SCL) was easy and convenient enough for most US people even when they did not understand Spanish at all. Though most people did not understand English, most signs had English expression along with Spanish. And on most of them there shown easy-to-understand pictograms.
I used a public bus and a subway to move the airport to the downtown Santiago. In spite of comprehensible signs, it took me some time to find the right way, though. First to take a shuttle service to the bus station E (PEHÚEN). Then to take a bus connecting to a subway lines. Once arriving at one of subway stations, Santiago subway system seemed quite good to take me to almost anywhere in the downtown Santiago. Good thing I discover was, most of Chilean people were very kind and welcoming!

It doesn't fit the needs considering the increasing number of users. The stores are mostly closed even though they should be operating 24/7, as any airport should. The bathrooms are not clean, there are not enough sits for waiting so people are sitting or sleeping on the floor. The people working at the airport are mostly friendly. It is recommended to arrive early for your flights to avoid any difficulties.
Overall good. Just don't come here late. They have max 2 officers working here at night shift on passport check. We spent almost an hour waiting to get checked. It is already 11 but they will make u wait till 12. Especially in the case that you have a flight of 6am to catch. Nobody cares
What an airport... Half is under construction, the rest lacks signs and looks run down. Like the rest of the country, first world attitude with a third world standard
Very efficient, nice people. Excellent services. Nice premises
It’s a functional airport with a few shopping options. Dining options are limited to common fast food chains or sandwiches. On the bright side: there is a working WiFi and sufficient seating with charging options to help to during longer layover hours.
Excelente opción para cuando hay presupuesto.

The currency exchange on arrival is a rip off. They wanted EUR 3-4 service charge on top of their obscenely ridiculous exchange rate. Published rates for EUR:CLP is 980 and they quoted 780. The only ATM is Santander and the machine wanted CLP 7000 for foreign withdrawals. I walked away. Best way to get into the city centre is TransVIP- CLP 8100 to get into any location in the city centre in a shared van and they accept foreign credit cards for a CLP400 fee. Turn right for their booth from the exit.
New Airport is good & well organised, Old domestic airport has power outage in between, first time in my life i have seen airport black out tht also 2 times in half hr.
Me encanta la atención personalizada, sus exquisitos catering,la limpieza y el buen gusto de su decoración. Número uno en el rubro. Un siete
