Our stay was extremely disappointing. There was live music and a party going on below our room until almost 2am. We had an early flight out and barely slept because of the music, screaming and vibrations. Definitely won’t take our chances on this hotel again. Possibly our worst hotel experience ever.
This is one of the nicer hotels I have stayed in for business travel recently and it's proximity to the airport terminals and train station is a huge advantage. Check in and check out were smooth as they were carried out by pleasant staff.
Lovely place for hanging out. Nice place to live music.
The hotel is right at the airport so very convenient. I stayed here as I have an early flight in the morning. My stay was far from stress free. Sure, the rooms are nice and comfortable. But I went to the bar for dinner and drinks. The service is awful. The food is awful. I ordered calamari, which was delivered with a human hair in it. When I complained, the manager was very quick to remove it. As if that wasn’t enough, the staff then chose to avoid me. Took me ages to pay ( yes, I paid despite the quality). Anyway, regardless how convenient this hotel is, I will never stay again.

Not only is this hotel very convenient but it’s an incredible hotel. I stayed one night during a layover. Check-in was fast and friendly. My room was very comfortable and clean. I used the spa facilities to have a sauna session before bed and then used the fitness facilities in the morning before my flight. They even have a Peloton which is always a bonus for me. Breakfast at the Michelin starred Mountain Hub Gourmet Restaurant was delicious. It couldn’t have been a better stay. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.
Very nice. Food was delicious
This is one of the nicer hotels I have stayed in for business travel. It has great amenities, rooms, and the location in relation to the Munich airport is fantastic, all for a fair price. Walking distance to both terminal 1 and 2. It is also very closely situated to a rail station that can take you to many destinations including downtown Munich. I would recommend if you stay here to pay extra for the breakfast buffet. It was fantastic and had a very large & fresh selection.
The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars was I had a minor issue during check-in. I was assigned a room and given a key, but when I got to the room it was clearly occupied by another guest. The front desk quickly fixed this and put me in another room.
If I go through Munich in the future, I would gladly stay here.

After an exhausting flight, I was in desperate need of rest and the Munich Hilton airport hotel was a sanctuary. The day room option they offer, with checkout by 6 pm, was a lifesaver. My room was spacious with two comfortable full-sized beds. A highlight was the luxurious bathroom equipped with an oversized bathtub and excellent water pressure. The bed was so cozy I fell asleep almost immediately. I was especially grateful for the blackout shades that kept the daylight out, ensuring uninterrupted sleep.
The check-in and checkout process at the front desk was swift and efficient. But what truly stood out was their incredible customer service. I inadvertently left behind my Kindle and sleep mask, and at many places, such items would go missing. However, upon contacting the hotel, they promptly responded that they had found my belongings and kept them safe for me to retrieve. Their integrity and professionalism truly impressed me.
5 out of 5 stars for an exceptional experience. Highly recommended!

Best concerts, nice bar, perfect location. Love it :)
Fun venue.

Beautiful hotel, everything was clean and new looking, great amenities and very comfortable and quiet room. I upgraded to a room with soundproof windows. Great location right
between Terminals 1 & 2 at the airport. Breakfast in the executive lounge was delicious with plenty of choices between hot and cold food. The exercise room in the Mountain Spa had a lot of equipment for a workout. We really enjoyed our stay.

Loved our deluxe suite. It had a full bathroom with an amazing shower and separate tub as well as a half bathroom. And plenty of space for all! Comfortable beds, really nice rooms!
Breakfast buffet is overpriced and do not recommend if your room rate doesn't include it.

1900-1901: The brick building, originally known as the 8th mechanical workshop, was erected as an industrial hall on the eastern edge of the former Essen Krupp cast steel factory.
World War II: The hall was not destroyed during the war, but the statue of the Alfred Krupp memorial in front of the workshop was toppled by aerial bombs.
1983-1987: AEG-Kanis rented and later owned the factory building, producing steam turbines initially and later gas turbines. Gas turbines and compressors were manufactured for the natural gas pipeline from Siberia to Western Europe.
1991: After AEG-Kanis relocated, the building was placed under monument protection.
January 1993: Plans were made to convert the old brownfield site into a more attractive area for tourism and new industries.
July 1994: A usage concept was presented to convert the industrial building into a musical theater, and it was named Colosseum Theater as a tribute to the Varieté Theater that existed in Essen from 1899 to 1929.
May 1995-December 1996: The building was converted into a musical theater by the architects Kohl & Kohl. The original steel construction and glazed roof were preserved, and the stage tower and auditorium were integrated. The theater hall could accommodate over 1400 people, and the foyer had space for around 2000 people.
1996-2000: Stella Entertainment AG operated the theater.
August 2000: Stage Entertainment took over the musical venue after Stella AG's insolvency. From this point on, musicals were no longer performed at the Colosseum Theater.
February 17, 2020: The RAG Foundation and energy company E.ON purchased the Colosseum with plans to establish a center for innovation from July 1, 2020.

Sehr angenehme location. Leckeres Frühstück in reichhaltiger Auswahl.
Didn't entered the zoo. But only viewed from outside. Looks good from the outside. Both zoo, aquarium and the botanical garten are close by.

Super Location 🤩
Tolle Location,
Overall great.. no parking
I love the two giraffes, so clean so cute.
Tolle Location
( so laut Karte )
Bekommen haben wir ein Cola mit Zucker. Reklamation.

Alles was das Herz begehrt!!!
TOP!!
Auf jeden Fall schreit es nach Wiederholung!! Wir kommen gern wieder.

Sehr coole Location
Beautiful place. Was there for a corporate party but the setting was stunning.
Gute Akkustik und Gastronomie am See. Sehr schön Immer wieder gerne.
We went to the Dragula show. BEST SHOW IN YEARS!
The concert hall is very modern and stylish. We had a chance to visit ballet Swan lake and seated in the 9 row where we had a great view. The hall acoustic was perfect and we enjoyed the classical music. Snacks were offered during a break and right before the beginning of the ballet. We also went up to the balcony and the view from there is not that good, the scene seems to be very far and small. Overall, it was a good performance at the great place!
Nice little concert hall. We went to see Nick Cave and had a great time. Bathrooms are a little bit far away from the stage. You have to go up 2 floors, which was not a big deal for me, but I saw no elevators for people with disabilities or the Elderly. Who knows... maybe I just missed them🤷. The venue is a couple of stops away from Essen HBF. You can take the S-Bahn.
Great venue in a beautiful historic industrial building, roomy atmospheric lounge.
Lovely event location
An old harbour ferry as a small restaurant. Fits into the the surrounding museum of old ships, like a heavy lift floating harbour crane, the only steam icebreaker, lightvessel Elbe 1 and several old coastal fishing and sailing vessels.

In October there was Playgrounds fest for artists and illustrators. I had a lot of fun and had a chance to meet my favorite artists. There was also coffee and something to eat during this festival. I recommend this festival a lot.
Nice restaurant in a boat on the river. The staff was nice and funny.
Wundervolles altes Kino.

Restaurant on a ship, located on the historical ship museum port. Form there a sightseeing tour through the Hamburg port is available, together with other museum ships. Suitable at every weather. The staff is friendly, the meal is delicious (and very traditional). Taxi from and to port without problems.
Wonderful atmosphere! Great food! Cozy and romantic! Loved it!
Amazing New year's party
Herring was too salty but otherwise a very pleasant location. Service was good.
Tolle Band...

Awesome venue, great staff and amazing lighting. Had a lot of fun at the Revolver Party
Really a good place to hangout with friends
Very good venue, with a great atmosphere. It's really something special, especially if you want to bring some (post)industrial flair to your event.
I attended a wedding there. The service is brilliant. The staff were all professional, polite, and friendly. The location is great. It's literally inside the zoo. You can see the flamingos from the restaurant. The food is tasty. The interior design is modern and cozy. Definitely recommend it.
A good concert venue. They have all kinds of genres and tastes represented here - check the website to get the current calendar full of famous musicians and those who will soon be it.
Every concert so far has been great. Drinks are a bit pricey but that's normal for venues like this.
Not only the location is good, the food is great and even though it looks like a tourist magnet there aren't so many. The staff is really friendly.
Very nice place. Very close to center. It is near Limbecker platz shopping center only 2 metro sops from Essen Central station. Atmosphere in Colosseum is special. Feels like in fancy very old renovated factory.
The redhead and I have been attending musicals together for nearly twenty years here in Germany, the UK and the United States and this is still one of our favorite theaters. We always drive up early so we're not stressed out from making the start time so having so much to do while waiting for the doors to open is a bonus we truly enjoy!!!
Very good place with many many events all over the year good organisation toilets are very clean, there are two bars when you can drink a glass of wine in a comfortable atmsphere I love the place, really cool 😎
Gute halbe Stunde verplempert !

This is a really cool venue with both an upstairs and downstairs theatre. Good capacity and great place to hear contemporary music (during Darmstadt summer festival). Good food at the food trucks outside too.
have been there on a Web-monday, looks like a fine place for such events, but the "theater-bar" was of no use, so had to undertake a small walk outside for a snack, which is necessary to survive a long event
