A pleasant journey in a snowy day, great place to hike.
It hadn't snowed much and the track hadn't fully opened, but it was very good for me, who just wanted to learn to ski! In disbelief, it got so hot that I took off my jacket!! In general, it was very good and I hope that the track will be fully opened so that we can use it.
The ski resort exceeded expectations with its exceptional snow conditions and diverse terrains. The pristine snow made for a fantastic skiing experience, while the variety of terrains catered to both beginners and seasoned enthusiasts. An overall exhilarating destination for winter sports enthusiasts.
One of the best ski lifts in iran. You can also at night they are open till 20:30pm
Although it's widely known for winter sports, I specifically love it during summer when a cool breeze touches your skin and warm sun keeps your spirits high. Above all, it's absolutely quiet during warm season, even on weekends.

Amazing slopes. Among the best in the world, the view is also breathtaking. Alborz mountains are majestic. The lifts are old though, the should do sth about it.
I like this place a lot. Unfortunately die to recent spikes in covid19 cases, all places such this had been ordered to be closed.

During winter time nice place for skiing. Infrastructure not comparable with European Standard, nevertheless beautiful landscape. During summer time very pleasant climate; ideal for Picknick. Shemshak Ski Resort is less fancy than Dizin or Darbandsar Ski Rrsorts but ot is also less crowded. You can reach this resort in less than 2 hours, however the road is winding amd mountain road. There is are hotels at this resort where you can stay overnight. Shemshak Boutique hotel is more fancy.
one of the oldest Iran Ski resort. its small but technical piste to compare to other Iran piste. unfortunately the piste is not open recently but its a great place for Ski Touring. The altitude of the highest point is about 3300 m and there are plenty of slope for ski touring. I upload the picture of the region in different season to have better idea about the climate of that area. Also there are a lot of nice tracks in the piste which is perfect for channeling mountain bikers.
Today I ascend again to Shemshak peak on 13 Nov 2021 after the first snow of the year and it was amazing solo climb and I had amazing sunset in the top. The fresh snow and sunny day made perfect day. The recent photo of the peak are in behind.

Tochal Skiing resort is one of the popular recreational places.
Dizin ski resort the biggest and most famous ski resort in iran, you can find so many routs with different cable cars and chairlifts.
Just look at the areas between the pists! So nice for skiing any style!
Nice and beauty
As a ski resort it is not that big. But if you walk/climb out of town towards south-east for about an hour you would reach to the base of a waterfall. The waterfall completely freezes in winters and basically you just see 2 big columns of ice (one is much thicker than the other). If you look at the top part of the big one you can see that its infact a tube and the water flows inside it even in winter.
Beside the scenery if you are a cliffhanger or ice climber you can climb up the frozen fall and have fun.

Pros: very near to Tehran, comfortable hotel and restaurant at the peak with acceptable services and facilities, and a suitable ski resort for amateurs.
Cons: you have to wait a long and tiring queue for boarding on the cabins to the peak, specially on Thursdays and Fridays.
