Reviews
My family and I visited this place for breakfast this morning and it was amazing. The atmosphere was really nice as it is located next to an authentic market. The service here was super friendly and helpful even though we didn’t speak Spanish and they didn’t speak English. The food was great and flavorful and they also had dishes great for small kids (eg pancakes) which our small daughter loved, and like the rest of the reviews if you go there definitely try one of the delicious smoothies!! We will definitely be going back again. 😊
Delicious and fresh food, juices! I tried salmon wrap, it was amazing! Coffee is also good! Fast service, fair prices!
Caminar mientras ves los puestos está muy bien
We were here on a tour from our cooking class chef. The chef Diana is on airbnb experience and has very in-depth knowledge of this market and seem to know everyone.
We started at a coffee shop where we tried two different kind of coffee, and a concha bread. And then we moved to a vegetable stall where she explained to us the vegetables in mexican cuisine, and after that a fruit stall where we tried a bunch of the exotic fruits which we have never seen before.
The next stall we tried different kinds of dried mole, a mezcal tasting and other ingredients.
Highly recommend coming here with someone who knows this place to get the full experience.

Lots of items that are affordable, from personal items to over the counter medications. You can get raw foods like pasta, rice and save lots of money on food shopping. If you go prepare to spend few hours cause there are many stores and all have discounted prices
A Mexican inspired market but with a European twist. Incredible food stalls with fresh produce, meats and seafood. You can dine directly from one of the many stalls. Worth a visiting when in the area. There even a Mezcal and Tequila stall where you can do a tasting tour and get a great education on both types of liquors. I will be posting in another review the tour I took along with the incredible seafood experience all from the same local market.
One of my best experiences in Mexico City.
Really high quality food and drink vendors.
You can eat very well here for a fraction of the cost of a restaurant.
Mexican street food at its best.

It's complicated, on one hand you can buy any fresh fruit or vegetable, super cheap. On the other hand it's all dirty and smells terrible.
If you have a business you must buy here to make a profit.

It is the most amazing market I've ever experienced. It is said to be the biggest market in the world. You have to go with someone who is familiar with the place, otherwise you get lost easily. There's plenty of parking. Getting there is also easy. There are places where the minimum purchase is a container, others where the minimum purchase is per kilo. The whole country gets its produce from here. There are restrooms, but I haven't made use of them. I suggest going cautious since it is super crowded. BUT YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICES. THEY ARE FORMIDABLE. It is totally worth buying groceries here.
I can't recommend this place enough! The food is to die for. Smoothies and juices are delicious. Price is normal, staff is friendly the marketplace in the back has a lot of fresh veggies and fruit! We loved the place
First of all just contact Eat Mexico in order to do this safely and with some guidance. Adrian (our guide) is a cook/chef/culinary graduate (as we’re our other guides with other companies). Which made talking food a no brainer. He explained much more than I was bargain for about how the local “system” works all the way up! We moved effortlessly through the market (once we made it past the tents). The true market is very well lit and friendly. I don’t think there were many glances our way since he spends so much time there. Don’t expect your group to be more than 4 since there is not room. The only leer we got the 5 days in CDMX was entering the market and in Polanco the locals were amazed that we went there at all. Great food, great local guide information and really good freakin food!
Oh god I you haven’t see anything go there there is a lot of good import cheeses ,wine and of course exotic edibles appetizers animals and fruits
Very nice market with many shops and bars. Its very focused on tourists who want to try some „crazy“ and exotic things, like scorpions dipped in chocolate, or grilled opposum etc. but you can also just get everything else you would expect from a market
Complete sensory saturation. Everything for sale. Even haircut for 60 mxn. Bought a nice polo shirt. Some vendors allow you to try if you want to taste their food. The place to buy everything.
As long as you are happy to find what you want in this huge bustling maze, it’s a good place to shop. Fruit, veg and meat available at prices below those in supermarkets.
Huge market where you can shop fruits, vegetables, spices, cheese and meat
It's a local market so the prices are really good and affordable
Cheaper than all supermarkets
We also tried several types of chili from one of the local vendors

Simplemente genial 👌 un lugar para deleite del paladar de todo. Me encanta asistir ahí. Gracias.
Ok
Wow! You can get lost here! Everything you can think of is sold here except I did not see livestock for sale. Every vegetable and fruit know and some that were new to me. The variety of products is unbelievable! Every spice, ingredient... a chief's dream! The food stands here are amazing... everything fresh from the market!
The jungle 🐎🐆🐱🐕🐀🐁🐖. Largest wholesale market for food in the world. Culturally great, catastrophically sad for management and abandonment of facilities.
Amazing market, but dirty, smelly, poorly organised. It’s an experience walking round such an enormous market but don’t expect to want to sit down anywhere or grab a bite to eat. As a tourist you will be walking many kilometres and there is nowhere nice to sit. Amazing to see the amount of stuff here though. The toilets we went to were ok too
Affordable and traditional dishes great snacks and some of the best tortas.
