This was a unique experience for us on Christmas Day. The sauna itself was clean, spacious, well maintained (except the door handle from the main door but my husband managed to fix it). The jumps in the freezing water were the best bit as we never experienced this before. We will definitely return here
Cozy simple sauna with a good purpose to support ocean clean up in Oslo. Mostly not overcrowded and easy to use with self lightened fire. Recommended place!
Great experience and self check in sauna. Have to make your own fire and all part of the fun! Highly recommended
Oslo Fjord Sauna was a very pleasant experience. You have access to a small changing room. You can jump from the roof and meet people. Thank you !
This sauna was not only the most affordable in the Oslo Fjord, it was well stocked with wood and very clean! It's easy to book online and the proceeds go towards cleaning and restoring the Fjord, which is incredible!
We had a really nice experience ! The sauna is located in a place more intimate than the other company. The saunas lives independantly, and it's easy to take care of the fire. Thanks for the Amazing expérience !
Had an absolutely wonderful time! The sauna is easy to find and use (fully stocked up). I had a great time jumping off the top into the fjord. When I went (summer) it was quiet and peaceful. Added to my list of recommendations for Oslo ❤️☺️
You don’t have all the blah blah frills like the touristy places do which is nice. What you do get is a super hot sauna and a lot more peace, privacy and an amazing view. All in the name of helping to keep the fjord clean.
The Oslo Fjord Sauna was amazing!!! The private sauna was an excellent choice! It's a good size for our family of 4. Could probably sit 6-8 comfortably. We went in Christmas day and thankfully we did cause nothing else was open in the city!! Highly recommend reserving ahead of time as the time slots fill up and we had people out side our Sauna trying to book it last minute and could not. Overall what a cool experience and it snowed while we were there!!!
I just love the Oslo Fjord sauna! Great for a short sauna session in one of the two floating saunas and dip in the fjord before or after work. Great view on Munch museum, Bjørvika and the fjord. Definitely a must do in winter, but also great in summer! The saunas are clean and heat up fast. No lockers, but with heated changing rooms directly adjacent to the saunas, so no worries. Also very nice people around! The sauna is self-service, so keep in mind that heating up the sauna might take a while if you're the first in the morning. Best offer in town and the money goes into cleaning the fjord from waste, I can only recommend it!
Loved my experience. We booked last minute day of and were so glad we did. Such a great concept, self-service sauna.
We were lucky and had people there who already had a room hot, otherwise would’ve taken 30-45 minutes so maybe get there early to get the most of your time. Also would come with your swimsuit on/bring easy clothes to slip back into just for ease of experience.
We got to talk to travellers and locals which was fun. Water was refreshing and clean, so fun jumping off the roof too.
Love that the small cost went to a good cause. Would 100% recommend on a trip to Oslo.

This was very cool experience! Was travelling to Norway 🇳🇴 and saw online about floating saunas and I just had to try it. I chose this particular sauna from many others out there due to the price, convenience of a booking process and a nice idea that their goal is to have a cleaner Oslofjord.
We were lucky cause during our time slot it was just 4 people most of the time (two of us and another couple). It was very comfortable with such small amount of people. This sauna should fit 10 people and I don’t think it’s enough space for so many people there.
What is cool, it is self service so you can come when you want within your time slot. But keep in mind that you have to put wood into the fire yourself too.
You can jump straight into a water after sauna session what is very refreshing. And panoramic window from sauna provides gorgeous views to the water and Munch museum.
Bear in mind that there is no place to change your clothes or lock your belongings. You have to do it in a small room prior entering sauna and pretty much all is visible through glass door to people who are in sauna and who are outside of sauna jumping to the water. If it’s very few people visiting sauna at once as in our case, it wasn’t a problem. But if there were 10 people it would be extremely uncomfortable.
As well there wasn’t any shower 🚿 nor toilet, what we thought it’s not very comfortable at first but actually it was not a big deal at the end.
Overall loved this sauna session and would totally repeat it again and would book the same sauna.

Excellent concept with this self service sauna. There was a family there already so didn’t need to light the sauna from scratch but the rest is pretty straight forward. There is a little space outside of the sauna where you can get dressed but if you’re self conscious wear your swimsuit underneath. Yes the water doesn’t look picturesque but didn’t give me problems after dipping in. People were even jumping from the roof of the sauna (crazy!). The clean up crew also came on a Sunday and were friendly. Sad that there’s no fresh water to shower or anything but we knew before so managed our expectations. Overall it’s excellent value for money and would defo recommend!
Great Sauna, self-service, wood-fired, refreshing water to jump in. Takes some time to heat up, some 45min I guess. We booked the shared sauna but we're on our own today. Also great to support Fjord CleanUP through a relaxing sauna session! Thanks and keep on!
We loved our experience here in early June - highly recommended! It was incredibly affordable, and so easy. We decided to try it early in the morning and reserved a spot for a few hours later (mid morning). No one else booked the same time slot, so we had the sauna all to ourselves (again, for an insanely low price). We chose the "huginn" sauna which I recommend, as (at the time) it was the one further into the water so we walked across the other sauna to get to ours - which meant no one in the other one had to walk across our sauna, so it had a bit better view and more privacy :)
Fire supplies were well stocked, the water was the perfectly cold temp to offset the sauna and mild put door temperatures, and the views of the museum etc were fantastic from the sauna- both inside with the large glass window, and from the top where we climbed up to sunbathe and then jump down from.
Profits also go towards a great cause, so it was an easy choice and hopefully we'll be back again soon!
