We availed of the vehicle rental with high expectations but it was a major let down..nothing to see at the topmost stations because the park is still being developed. Most animals are found at the bottom of the park so there would be no point going up. I cannot fault the driver/tour guide and the lady who is upselling the package because it is their job to market it, but thinking of paying Php4,500 for an overblown promise of much more views is upsetting.
One more point is the welfare of the animals, it is quite a heartbreak to see some animals that are matted, some even have scabbies. The staff were trying to pass it as part of hybernation and whatnots but clearly they're signs of neglect. What boggles us is that how some animals are categorized as endangered but was somehow able to be cleared for captivity😳😳
We really had a lot of fun here. The animals are really unique and beautiful, me and my family had a wonderful time exploring. The experience was extremely worth your while.

But it upsets me a little to see the animals looking so distressed, although it seems like they're well-fed and taken care of.

ANOTHER THING THAT DISAPPOINTED ME IS THE LACK OF SECURITY. MY CAMERA BAG (containing my EOS m50's charger and battery, Brandnew Instax Mini 40 with a set of unopened films and the bag itself) GOT LOST. We tried to retrieve it but unfortunately we weren't given any good news. Turns out there were NO CCTV's at the top part of the zoo where the monkey statues are. It was only a span of 15-20 minutes before we realized it was gone.. we weren't accommodated well as they were about to close already. They just told me that perhaps it got stolen. I NEVER had the chance to look at the other CCTV footage as they're claiming that we won't be able to get it from the one who stole it anyway because they don't keep records of the names of the people who visited and entered the premises. I got really devastated.

I guess part of it's my fault too though. Always keep your valuables safe and protected at all times.
We had a fantastic few hours at Calauit Safari, we walked around with our guide who was so friendly and informative. We got to feed and take pictures with the giraffes, highly recommend.
We drove scooters ourselves from Coron Town on a Sunday and arrived around 2pm. So it's possible to do it later in the day without signing up to a tour. We had the place pretty much to ourselves (no queueing😉)
The service provided was of high quality, and I am generally pleased with the experience. Although we did not eat there, the food was standard.

However, I observed that the upkeep of certain animal enclosures was lacking, resulting in a sense of melancholy. The enclosures were not well-maintained, and some animals exhibited signs of neglect, such as scabies and matted fur. While I understand that reptiles are resilient creatures and require minimal maintenance, it was evident that they were not receiving adequate nourishment, as they eagerly consumed any food offered to them.

It is important to note that these animals are trained using positive reinforcement, specifically treats or food, as they are domesticated. However, it is also crucial to recognize that this is not a sanctuary for rescued animals, and therefore, the primary objective is not to provide an ethical environment.

If individuals have concerns regarding the conditions in which the animals are kept, I recommend visiting a sanctuary, as the animals there are typically treated in a more ethical manner.

Hey, we had a great time checking out the sights, but by the end of the day, it wasn't really our thing.
The place has improved in the last 5 years. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes you can enjoy. Esthetic and creative designs to attract visitors and stay. There is a little themed park for kids and adventurous individuals who like rides. This one on the images is taken at Paramount. It's one of the places you can visit here. Very cozy and comfy for celebrations.
Some will say it's a must visit, others will disagree - but if you are visiting Davao with kids (especially those who are interested with animals) this is a definite must visit!

The animals in the park are well taken cared of, as you will see that they do not act stressed nor are they unrully in their cages. Also, they are not malnourished like in other zoo/parks.

Overall, it is a great experience for me and my family.
The animals are treated horribly here. Their habitats are much too small and sometimes can even injure the animals inside. For example, the grating on the bottom of the rabbit habitat is going to make sores on their feet, and there was absolutely no food even through rabbits NEED to have access to hay all the time. If they don't eat enough, their guts could stop, and they can die within a day or so. Also, even though it was a scorching hot day, the animals did not have any water.
The bird and butterfly habitats are actually quite nice. The other animals should be treated just as well.
The place is maintained. The cage is made me feel that animals are prisoners. It is nice to visit a zoo where we imitate their natural habitat. I will still visit the place to try their Lechon Crocs and Ice cream flavored Crocs. And also to watch their shows.
Hope they will try to give a better habitat for these poor animals..
Such a wonderful place, amazing view and people 🫶🏻
This petting zoo is my favourite one in malagos.... There u can see Albino buffalo, horses, ducks, chicken, goats, fishes and tortoises. Spending time with them is a precious thing... It remind me my farming life once again😍🥰😍🥰.
The place is nice for those who appreciate nature and animals. And for those who didn’t, you can still enjoy feeding the giraffe 🦒. The entrance fee is also a bit pricey hope they can add more animals to look into.
Nice place to go! The goats are very nosy, all the animals waiting for you to feed them. To pet them is not so easy, but that's ok. How would you feel if every day hundreds of unknown persons like to touch your head? Still a chance for dozen of Instagram selfies
The natural place with fresh air and zoo
Many canals and crocodiles
