My 4th time being there n had a awesome experience...my client's had a great time n each studio we was in, was a learning experience. If you haven't been here before, my advice to everyone is to go try it out n you will not be disappointed.
This studio was absolutely beautiful and clean! The bookshelf room was great and the paneled walls were perfect for what I wanted. There are some nice chairs in the rooms as props and there’s plenty of space to get all types of shots. I would definitely recommend it and for the price, you can’t lose! I would go back.

I’ve been coming here for over 2 years now for film development and scanning and I’m obsessed with everything about Pro Image!! They have given me my film back as quick as an hour, the longest I’ve ever waited was 6 hours. The scan quality is pretty HQ even if you don’t pay extra for high-res. I’m not a professional photographer, but have taken over 2k film pictures, been to countless places for film development and Pro Image is really best of the best!!
I’ve been coming here for around a year and I’ve always been super happy with their work. The staff is all very chill, patient, and helpful as I’ve been learning more about film photography, and I’m always very happy with the scans/prints. And they have a great selection of film, some cameras, frames, and accessories! Here’s a few shots they’ve developed for me just to show their nice work unedited, all shot on 35mm film either full or half-frame.
Super fast turnaround on film development and a fun selection of older style cameras!
Andre’s service was nothing short of professional ! He was recommended by a good friends I have used him ever since. Pictures came out amazing and Andre had a great turn around time. Would def recommend !
Lovely and clean daylight studio. The spacious areas are perfectly distributed and it always creates a great atmosphere for working. The freight elevator to the studio and the really helpful staff make it one of my favorites.
Andrey was the BEST! I coordinated a surprise proposal shoot on behalf of the bride and groom, and he was so easy to work with! He shot the entire proposal outside on a rainy day with no complaints! He was professional but still laid back and easy to talk to, which made the shoot feel super comfortable. He had great ideas and really captured the personalities of the bride and groom in the pictures. I look forward to booking with him again in the future, and hope to spread the word about him to all of my friends!
10/10!! Dan and Ciel did an amazing job taking my paintings and turning them into scanned digital versions that included every brush stroke and the texture of the paper too. I can't recommend them more and will absolutely be working with them in the future for any other high-quality scanning needs.

Hands down, the best photographer! Andrey did our maternity photos as well as our first family shoot with our daughter when she turned 3 months. He makes sure that you get the shots you want and is always so kind and patient throughout the session. The photos always come out better than we expect! We love working with him and will definitely be coming to him again in the future!

Ciel Mahoney at SugarHill Works has been making archival pigment prints of my photographs for five years and she does a wonderful job. Her prints are flawless and she will work collaboratively if you wish. She's got a great eye, is attentive to detail, and will advise if she sees a problem with the image to be printed, yet she is very respectful of my vision and, if needed, will work with me to bring it forth. She's terrific.
Hurricane Irene hit the Catskills with a vengeance back in 2011. My biggest worry was losing my grandmothers 50+ year old oil paintings. I decided that I would like to scan them, hang copies in upstate house, and keep originals in city house.
I do not remember how exactly but I found SugarHillScan, about 7 blocks from my home and have had an amazing ongoing experience. All of my grandmother's paintings are scanned and beautifully printed,. I have passed many photo projects on as well and have always been pleased with the results.
Ciel & Dan are professional and accomadating. They even went so far as scanning and printing a rush job for my parent's 2014 60th wedding anniversary party that required them to work with very old and very small photographs. The framed photos were a lovely addition to the party.

Very very beautiful studio space! You can tell how much love and care that went into building each studio. I shot in room four that features an absolutely stunning bookcase and wood slack wall. Spacious and tons of natural light from windows. Staff was super friendly, responsive, helpful and accommodating. I 100% recommend this studio and will absolutely be booking another room soon!
Look no further when it comes to a high quality Studio in NYC, this is the answer. When having to shoot in-studio I opt for a budget that will incorporate the very best, and Vandervoort's just that. I've never had a negative experience here, love the amenities and appreciate how superb the staff scores in professionalism!! Huge shoutouts to Anastasia, Vadim and the team over there, they're truly incredible!
This beautiful studio has a large window so it gets excellent natural light. It is clean and has great gear included, for very reasonable price. I am so looking forward to be shooting here again!
Laid back, open floor plan setup, clean comfy. The restroom and the lighting are awesome. Just didn't like the neighborhood.
My wife Molly and I took her headshots here and the place was fantastic. Has everything you need and was clean and very usable. Will definitely be making this our go to place for photo shoots.
I’ve worked out of this location for two shoots & every time felt like the first time. From the movie like shaft elevator, high ceilings & beautiful natural light beaming from the huge windows it’s the perfect place for almost everything! The employees are so accommodating, upon arriving they are always eager to assist & answer any pressing questions one may have. I also love that there’s a separate space/room with a door for privacy. Having an on-site mini kitchen area with a sink & small fridge is a huge plus. With options to use their chairs, tables, slippers, robs, building ramp, steamer on wheels, sturdy clothing racks, some hangers, a ladder & lastly roof access perfect for any kind of creative storytelling or video content. Overall, it’s a great location/business I highly recommend!

Root is a cool photo studio in Williamsburg (and Chelsea) that takes model shots and hosts photographer gallery’s. I attended a print swap a few weeks ago and it was a lot of fun and well attended. I love the black painted brick building which is right across the Empire State Building!

Ikea workspace.. nice option to have but this spot doesn't offer much quite if other co-workers are there. Someone had the TV on when I was working in conference room and I could hear iy even though it was turned up that loud.
Awesome place. The decor is beautiful and it’s an extremely comfortble and welcoming. Great way to network with fellow creatives

I got the chance to work at Brooklyn Grain Studios during an eyewear brand photo shoot. I think the place speaks by itself with the beautiful daylight in both studios. You can embrace the light for the whole day with different effects and not even use the lighting equipment. The place has its own texture and vibes with the brick walls and with that beautiful sitting / chill corner - great props for a photo shoot for portraits. It was clean, neat, organized and ready for us to start the shoot with all the required equipment ready. It was spacious so each member in the team - hair stylist, make up artist, photographer, stylist and the client - were comfortably in the same studio. Though it was the first time at the venue, it was familiar and easy with all these pre-planned preparations for us. Thank you Brooklyn Grain team for your care and all day long support and presence and for the continuous supply of hot coffee all day long. See you soon for the next project...
Brooklyn Grain is the best studio I have ever been to in Brooklyn! Its super spacious and professional, without being pretentious. The owner's make sure each client has all their needs met, and work extra hard to problem solve for your shoot no matter how small, making the models and photographer feel comfortable, and ensuring your entire shoot is stress free and successful. I recommend this studio to all my NYC clients, as well as visiting photographers. Its also in a great location, so its easy for you entire crew to get there. Highly recommend this studio for any size shoot!

This is such a great space for any kind of shoot. The owners made my experience easy and comfortable with no hassle. I was able to rent a few pieces of equipment but they also let me use my own, which was a big plus. I'd definitely recommend this space to anyone needing a great studio space for a great deal!
This is an incredible blank space and I will never use another studio... Prices are very inexpensive and all of their Profoto equipment is included. Cannot be beat.
