There is always something to do at this park. There is an indoor swimming pool, an ice hockey rink, dog park, miniature golf, batting cages , a lakeside theater, a restaurant in addition to baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts and miles of walking and hiking areas.
One of my favorite places to watch the sunset in SWFL
Awesome Christmas lights plus free activities like winter tubing, train ride, hay ride etc...
Enjoy a delightful funday with family or friends at this excellent location! Ample free parking, a pristine park that's pet-friendly, easily accessible, and conveniently located near highways. Highly recommended, even Batman approves!
Great place for a hike. Free parking during off season. Help keep the park clean!
The Christmas lights are amazing. This brought me back to my childhood when we had an entire neighborhood that people drove through. This was that neighborhood times 100. Wonderful idea. Thank you.
Great light show. Great for families.
Very nice, low key park. The main problem with this park is there is a NYPD shooting range across the bay. This means it is never peaceful. As you try for a nice peaceful walk, it will be inundated with sounds of automatic weapons and gunfire as if you are running through a battle zone. It can be very disturbing. You can have barbecues in the picnic area. There are tennis courts, a dog park, a very nice park for all age children with an attached basketball court and bathrooms. It is kept clean and attended by the nyc parks department. There are softball/baseball areas and very close to city island.
I love the nature trails all the little hikes are beautiful as are the views, unfortunately the water quality is less than desirable for swimming.
Please note that these courts are private and are for the use of Auberge residents and their invited guests only.
A potentially great airport public observation area that is currently under repair. The park is located on the south side of the runway and is ideal for a completely free activity that all ages would enjoy. We took a 7 year old and he loved watching the private planes take off and land at Naples Airport. There is a shaded observation platform with the air traffic channel piped in on a loudspeaker. The repair that is underway is the replacement of boards on the viewing platform. From the looks of it, two more boards are needed. I wish only the immediate area around the missing boards was closed off and not the whole platform. By closing the steps to the platform, the only shade available was to stand beside the bunker building a short distance away. The bunker building provided only a narrow strip of shade in mid afternoon. It was just wide enough for a soccer chair. It may or may not be shaded other times. Hopefully the parks department can quickly replace the missing boards soon and open up the viewing platform with its wooden benches again.
If this basketball court, gets some renovations new rims and a little clean down, this could be a great hoop spot in the Ward 7-8 area.
Summer 2023 they "reopened " the fitness walk.... But now in 2024 half of them are blocked off all over again because they're doing huge, major construction right next to the Aquatic Center and Safety Town and the skating rink. So even though they fixed the fitness walk last year, the set ups aren't broken, etc., you can't even come close to doing the fitness walk exercises or even see/access them. Thankfully they replaced a bunch of the benches by the lake.
Disappointing now in 2024 they're doing even more construction in the park, the upper half. So they've almost completely split the park in half, you can't go walking around freely, cut in between anymore. And if you want to walk around the entire park in a loop, because of the construction, at one point for a few minutes you have to walk right next to the street and then a parking lot. It's even more constricting than when they added the skating rink construction a few years ago. They're turning the top half of this park into just a bunch of businesses instead of a park.
Still that huge, unsightly ice rink and they've already redone the entire outdoor one again. Huge parking lot for that too, taking up even more park space. Pedestrians just keep walking right on through, though.
There are maps on posts scattered throughout the park, but not sure if they have any to take.
I saw a notice about closing down the old kids' Safety Town.
Lots of huge modern playgrounds for kids though.
No dog-walking!

Very clean, Love the park!! I don't have little ones... it's nice to see a place that thinks of younger children. The miracle lead ball park takes the cake!!❤
Fun place to demolish the Brooklyn Park Rangers, and also hear police sirens every 5 to 10 minutes.
Best so far!
Great atmosphere. Plenty of seating for spectators. Bunch of locals and students showed up.
Best outdoor calisthenics equipment in San Diego. Parking can be tricky but paid parking is at nearby parking lot and free parking at adjacent residential area across campus
مكان ترفيه جميل جدا ورائع
Very nice place to observe plane traffic. Control tower speaker set on 60 minute timer for those who would like to listen in on the tower communications with the pilots.
Nice cozy place for family and friends!
Nice facility
Named to honor the memory of a 16 year-old killed by a drunk driver in 2014.
