We went out on a Saturday night without a reservation and this was our experience:

- Barcelona Tapas Bar: You couldn’t even get to the hostess to ask for a table. We left.
- Giulia (the pasta place): The hostess was a bit like a robot “the next available reservation is at 9:30.” OMG, it is 8 PM. What makes you think I want to wait that long?

And then we walked into Nirvana and boy are we glad we did. They treat you like FAMILY. They are so nice. They answered all the cooking rice questions we had.

The food is delicious! We had the chicken tikka masala and naan garlic bread as recommended by our waitress.

Yes, we both ordered the same plate. Yes, we could have ordered one for the both of us but we wanted leftovers.

We will definitely be back.
What the Biryani is a delicious biryani spot in Irving!
"What the Biryani" in Irving has quickly become my go-to spot for mouthwatering biryani and more. Their tandoori murgh and tawa fish are absolute standouts, and I can't get enough of them!

The biryani here is a true culinary delight. The blend of spices, tender meat, and fragrant rice creates a symphony of flavors in every bite. It's flavorful without being overwhelmingly spicy, making it perfect for all palates. And the portion sizes are generous, so you'll definitely leave satisfied.

Now, let's talk about the tandoori murgh – it's incredibly juicy and succulent. The smoky flavor from the tandoor adds an extra layer of deliciousness. Pair it with their flavorful naan or rice for a fantastic meal.

And the tawa fish! It's a must-try for seafood lovers. The fish is perfectly cooked and coated with a delicious marinade that's bursting with flavors. It's a unique and delightful dish you won't find everywhere.

The service is friendly and prompt, and the ambiance is cozy, making it a great spot for both dine-in and takeout. Plus, their prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive.

Whether you're a fan of biryani, tandoori dishes, or seafood, "What the Biryani" is a culinary gem in Irving that you shouldn't miss. Highly recommend trying their tandoori murgh and tawa fish – you won't be disappointed!
This restaurant is very pretty and the service is fabulous. Great parking, and a very short drive from Providence. Mango Lassi was delish! My favorite part was the Momo, yummy. Butter chicken and naan was first class too. A must try! I went with a Punjabi friend and he was so IMPRESSED. Bravo, chef!
They only accept cash! Workers were rude and acted like they didn't even want someone to order. The food is not as cheap as you'd think for the small portions and old-tasting meat. The mango lassi was pretty good and the basmati rice was very sweet. The meat portion (I got chicken) was very small.
Nice place for hangout! Feeling nostalgic like India style chai ki tapri which was great 👍always crowded! So you can spend chit-chat time with Chai, Dosa and other snacks at reasonable prices!
It was a big catering order and the owner, I believe his name is Rakesh agreed with a price on the phone and via text, and at the checkout he made a big fuss and was rude and ended up paying more than the agreed amount. We had a horrible experience with the owner, he was so arrogant. The dessert was full of sugar and it's all not all up to the mark.
I went to this place yesterday in an attempt to try Indian cuisine for the first time, as I left with my order I noticed I had a burned piece of naan bread I took it back to the store and had to wait 20 minutes for them to replace the bread as I got home I started to eat and noticed there was hair in my rice and bread and I took my order back to the restaurant the worker didn’t attempt to compensate me but instead stared at me as if she didn’t understand what I said. She was very dismissive about compensating my order it’s disgusting to eat food along with someone else’s hair i am a very unhappy customer $20 down the drain
I’ve ordered from here two times a week for almost an entire summer. The food quality is great and the location makes it super convenient! I like most of their paneer dishes on medium spice levels and their portion sizes are just right. Prices are v good as well, especially on doordash. I do recommend!!
Nice and clean Indian restaurant! We went with a group of friends and had a great time. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I really liked the food. As you can see in the photos we ordered a nice variety. Everything was delicious.
Good old rustic style Indian Dhaba. The kitchen was surprisingly open for viewing right behind the cashier which was great and a rare sight.

The first big bummer is that they only accept cash. I think the Indian owner is trying to save some taxes at the expense of their customers time and painful atm visits
Coming to the food. We ordered chole bhature , alu paratha , tava roti , lassi and shahi paneer

Chole bhature :
The bhature were fresh and had a good homely vibe to it. The chole were good but not exceptional. It felt a bit bland with very little spice or tadka if you may.
Alu paratha :
The paratha was freshly made which was a good thing but again the taste was a bit bland. The filling was heavy but low on taste. Could have been better. The size was huge and can be more than enough for one person
Shahi paneer :
Shahi paneer was a swimming pool of fresh cream. The cream over powered the entire taste of the dish. I could not taste any spice any masala other than the cream. Cream is good to add for some good layer of creaminess but dont cooke your food in cream.
The good thing about this the fact that it was served with a lot of add ons. Paratha , rice , onion , raita and an onion pickle at no extra cost. Again a rare sight. Felt very dhaba style and was happy with it
Lassi :
The lassis were very fresh and tasted good
Tava roti :
Fresh , big and good. Add some makhan to give it a dhaba feel may be

Overall a good raw experience with basic decor. No parking. We parked at a nearby Walgreens which was a 2 min walk.
They can def work on the taste of the food and for the love of god keep a credit card machine.
I went there as I’m looking for Indian restaurants near Cambridge, I have seen them recently started they buffet. I love there food, the buffet is good
I specifically love chicken tikka masala and garlic naan.
Went in on a Friday night in central square and probably should have known the place wasn’t that good when it was just us and another small group of 3.

For the price, food portions were small and honestly just not very good in taste. We tried some curries and biryanis. The curries were alright but the biryanis were honestly quick mediocre. Service was slow and the waitstaff was pretty disinterested. It’s really not cheap for the portions and really wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for good Indian food.
The place is as common as for South Indians especially Telugu people where you can find all the veg and non-veg dishes served deliciously over the counter for parcel or eating at the restaurant itself.
Along side the restaurant you can buy all the Indian groceries at affordable prices.
The place is very near to the main road. There are few mor Indian restaurants in the surroundings of this restaurant.
Please stay Away from this restaurant.
Pathetic ambience and pathetic food. The used chef’s clothes are Hanged on the hanger near eating table.
The food is more than pathetic. My whole family got Timmy’s Che after eating the food. All items were pathetic. If there is any negative stars or zero star I could have given that. Don’t go on positive reviews seems to be purchased in this AI era. See the veg platter pic for your reference. All burnt up and non edible. If you want to have a good day and good don’t go here.
This was a really cool restaurant! I ordered the mild Chicken Mahkni (Butter chicken) and it was so creamy and rich in flavor!
The Mango Lassi was very smooth and went great with the slight spice in the food!
I’m very sensitive to spice but I found mild to be good. If you are sensitive I would recommend getting Lassi to go with it to counter the spice in your mouth. Overall good experience!
This is an Indian buffet that has a ton of vegan options!! I came here with my friends who have no dietary restrictions because of their large amount of vegan items! Not only is it a large buffet with lots of kinds of food but everything is labelled well with signs so you know what is vegan! The food was so good! I wish it wasn't so far from my home because I want to go eat here every day!!
This place was really good stop for us on the way to Massachusetts! The fusion of Nepalese food and Indian, definitelyloved it! The momos and chowmin were too good. I liked Chicken Biryani as well.
Must try the new fruit salad here! I really liked it!

Love from Boston , MA
I go there for lunch. It's a good place to have Indian food over there. I ordered Manchurian and chole bhature. Both have good taste. The overall ambiance was also good. When I visited it was not that crowded and I didn't wait too much for food that was the good part.

The Sweet was also good. There are a lot of Indian vegetarian options. That's the good part. The staff is also good and hygiene is well maintained.

It is next to the Patel brothers and the parking space is also huge so you don't find parking space over there.

Overall it was a good place for your lunch and dinner. I recommend it, it has good taste also. Good Indian food is available there.
It's a new place. Head Chef is awesome, has a personal contact with all his customers. He is a great chef. Makes sure the food is done to the requirement and yet taste awesome. The ambience is awesome. Give them a chance , they will not disappoint you. I would recommend this place all. I wish them the very best. Had one of the best bhel puris and Ragada patties.
What the Biryani man‼️.Ordered Chicken 🐔 Dum Biryani from uber eats. It was one of the best biryani’s I ever had. So fresh &tasty😋. I ordered spicy and it was perfect spice level for me. Just loved it. It comes with salan for extra spice and raita to cool down. Only downside is quantity of chicken pieces versus rice. There were only three tiny pieces of chicken in whole biryani. Will definitely going to order again whenever in Dallas area.
The food is really really good, which is why we wanted to try dining in after usually just doing delivery. The server was very friendly, but unfortunately completely inattentive. I had to track him down twice in the other room for more rice and to pay the check. The tap water also smelled a little funny, which means we probably should have paid for water, I'm just not used to doing that. We'll probably be back at some point, but the dining in experience was a little bit of a let down.
Some of the food items are great while some of them tastes so bad. Also, the place kind of stinks so I have only had take outs so far. Also, the customer service needs to be improved since the guy who handed over the food was visibly upset and uninterested.
So I’ve saw all the positive reviews and beautiful images from this place and been wanting to try some authentic Indian food. I absolutely loved my entire order. I did an Uber eats order because it was very chilly outside and I wanted to stay in. Everything came super fresh, very delicious and so savory with nice kick of heat. I ordered butter chicken, white rice , 2 sides of Naan ( butter as the topping) and a simple Lipton tea . The flavor from the butter chicken alone is absolutely awesome. It’s worth the money 100%. I’ll be dining in very soon. I love it . Very happy!
Ok, from the photos you will see that we had an OK experience while having Lunch on Feb 1st. They had some mechanical issue and the heat was out. Instead of telling us that, they sat us down. Then brought in a space heater. Yes, that thing did not keep us warm at all and we had to ask them to add another one, crank those things high etc etc.

Food was decent, wait staff was great, but it was just freaking cold in there!!

I forgot my credit card and the wait staff actually came out in the cold to hand me as we walked out. So, thank you for that, but I am sure if the place was warm, the experience would have been different.

Let’s come to food though. It was OK, nothing extra ordinary in taste. Reasonably priced though.
Right besides Patel brothers you will find this restaurant that’s probably the only one where we have found to have fresh hot Jalebis coming right out in front of you.
They also sell half plate if 1 full is too much. We found half plate to be a lot for 2 person.
We wanted to try out their restaurant food and went in for their Bhel puri and Amritsari chole khulche which was okay. The food is average here but jalebi stall outside during cold winters is a star!
The Service, like the rest of the reviews say is terrible!!!! We waited for 1 hour when it was a normal working noon and they had only a couple of customers dining in. They actually forgot that we had ordered something when we were sitting right in front of them. Had we not checked with them regularly, we wouldn’t be served at all!
In all, if you ever want to visit the restaurant, check them during non peak hours and mostly visit only the Jalebi stall!
I love Indian food and have never been here before. I chose this place for my birthday lunch and I couldn't be more happy about this decision. Service is excellent, very clean. The food was amazing, rich in flavorful spices! I think this has become one of my favorite places on this 1 visit.
What was ordered:
Chicken korma, garlic honey Naan, chicken Tikka Masala, paneer Naan and gulab jumin.. Also had coconut soup. All was amazing.
First time here, the place is colorful and gives India vibes. The lady that served me was in traditional Indian attire and looked beautiful , however wouldn’t speak much but I don’t judge that. I chose to eat from the buffet, the options were good and the food had good taste.
Not sure why this only has 4 stars - it should have 5! Everything was delicious. Complex flavors, well-balanced spices, kind waiters, and impressively fast service. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The chicken tikka dal was so good, I’ll be coming back just for that. The dosa was really very good. We were very surprised. Perfectly crispy but still a touch h can eat. The masala was so well seasoned. One of our party had allergies and they were super accommodating and easy about that. The prices felt reasonable and the portions good. We’ll certainly be back!!
We stopped here randomly. And didn’t regret it. We ate outside and the food was good. We had the Nirvana Non-Vegetarian Platter (Meat samosa, chicken tikka, lamb kebab, seekh kebab and chicken pakoras), Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Rack Of Lamb, Keema Naan and Saag Paneer.
The search for good Indian food in Boston is frustrating and almost futile. However, Vaisakhi was a pleasant surprise. Tucked away in an unassuming venue, this place offers authentic Indian food for a very reasonable price. The dishes were delicious and flavorful, and the service was good. I highly recommend this place for dine-in or take-out. Thank you, I will be coming back!
I am writing this review after ordering food from Touch of Delhi again. The first time I ordered were some Samosas. They were really good and I shared them with some of my friends who really liked it. I have ordered food from Indian restaurants here (in Frederick) before but somehow I always felt disappointed. Touch of Delhi was an exception. The food here tastes really good and spiced accurately so they give a feeling of eating authentic food from India. I would love to order from here once again and I am glad that I found this place.
I learned about this place when I asked my Indian colleagues about authentic Indian restaurants. His comment on it was “good food, poor environment”. Since I care more about the food quality, I still gave it a try today. To get a good sense of their food, I ordered a full combo including a special chicken curry platter, a samosa, a garlic nan, and a bottle of mango lassi. Overall, I think their food gives me what I expect from Indian cuisine: a rich favor of various species. Because the curry and nan were prepared ahead instead of cooked in real-time, they were a little cold when brought to my table, which somehow affected their taste. Yogurt came with the nan was too light. The red pepper pickle was very tasty, probably the one I like most out of combo. The potato stuffing of the samosa was delicious, but the coating was not crispy at all. Mango lassi had a smooth taste, but a little like artificial flavors.

Cash only. Keep it in mind although an ATM is close by.
We just tried Touch of Delhi for the first time tonight and are so thrilled. Each bite was better than the next! You can tell that Shivaani takes pride in her work and cooks a lot of love and respect for her trade. It’s clear she wants people to feel good eating her food, and we definitely did. The service and communication was also above and beyond. Excited to eat her food again soon!!
We got the Vegan Snack Bundle which includes Old Delhi Style Samosas, Punjabi, Aloo Tikki, Bread Pakoda and Rose Drinks. Everything was spicy, flavorful, and noticeably different from the south Indian cuisine that we typically find around this area. Shivanni is very kind and friendly. I'm so glad we found this!
A friend recommended this restaurant and said she and her family have enjoyed the food and service here for years. I went yesterday and agree with her positive raves. The food was fresh and delicious. They had a buffet during the lunch hour and it was a perfect opportunity to try a little bit of everything.
