Tokyo Restaurant

We had the Sukiyaki menu and it was superb. I recommend to follow the restaurant’s advice and have it with raw egg if you like it. It makes such a different and it is delicious. The menu include starters, pickles, miso soup, the sukiyaki and desert. You can choose whether to sit at the tatami or high table at booking and it is recommended to book in advance.

Amazing place. The atmosphere is very unique and feels authentic, the food is phenomenal - try their karaage, their dumplings, and one of the hot pot menus.
Service is top notch, very sweet and helpful.

I have wanted to visit this place for a long time but have been impossible to get a table as they only toke phone bookings doing opening hours - but now it has changed and it is possible to booking online.

So number one to visit this place you must book a table.
Second the interior is a old-school Japanese vibe but in an nice way - but when you book remember to think about what type of table you want to sit at as they have both Tatami and normal tables
Third, the service was nice and very elegant in a Japanese way.
Last the food was good - felt authentic in a nice way. Of course it is not like being in Japan but for being in Copenhagen this place does a very good job. I had the Tokyo special menu. It was nice with a good variation of different food but a lot of food also. The highlight was definitely the Sukiyaki and don’t forget to eat it with a raw egg

Tokyo Restaurant has an authentic vibe. It's buzzing and feels homely, serving Japanese classics. We opted for the Tokyo menu, which basically takes you through most things they have. Cold starters, Sashimi, Miso soup, a few sticks, and of course the hot pot with a raw egg dip.
The ambiance is great, the food isn't anything special but nothing sine side Sake doesn't fix 😎

Amazing food, excellent service and a truly authentic atmosphere. As someone who lived in Japan for many years, I highly recommend this restaurant for its authenticity.

Very authentic Japanese fare at reasonable prices. Had the sukiyaki, and there was too much meat for me but I ain’t gonna waste good food so I finished everything 🥳 the tatami seating area was nice. Really felt like I was back in Japan.

Staffs were super friendly and really nice overall experience. However, the sashimi quality was very disappointing considering that it’s an authentic Japanese restaurant. It felt like frozen fish, not fresh and melting. And also found one bone inside salmon. Other dishes were okay. Matcha ice cream was super delicious.

We are in love with this restaurant! It felt like we stepped into Japan itself! Everything was perfect! The staffs were amazing and so welcoming ❤️ the atmosphere was just like being in Japan. And the food was phenomenal! This restaurant is way too cheap for what they deliver! Thank you for such an amazing experience ☺️ we’re definitely coming back for more!

It's a real hidden gem of a restaurant, hardly visible from outside if you don't know where it is. Despite being loctated on a busy street, entering the restaurant immediately transports you somewhere else entirely. The low tables and simple but elegant interior design all immerse you in the atmosphere.
The service is exceptional. They are fast, attentive and always helpful, but most of all incredibly polite. They helped choose fitting dishes from the menu and answered any questions about the food.
Make no mistake, the food looks, feels and tastes authentic. We were unfamiliar with a lot of the aromas and spices, but the high quality just makes everything make perfect sense. We were a group of three people, took three of the menus and there was more than enough food for an incredibly fair price.
Cannot recommend this place enough, if you're looking for a cozy, high quality restaurant or are simply curious about japanese food.

Thinking about the visit to this restaurant, I cannot find any reason to deduct any stars off their rating. The food has been outstanding, proper Japanese food with their unique flavouring. The service has been overshadowing any other experience in Denmark. Partially, we had the feeling there was a waiter just for our table. People have been very friendly, and the atmosphere has been Japanese from the core.
