Too many rats the park is dirty rats in the sandbox in the bushes not safe for the kid's my grand nieces and nephews was very scare 😭
Every Wednesday they have a community music festival from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., live music and food from different vendors
Fun place to bring ur kids just keep an eye on them lots of teenagers running around
Very cool park, but I get weed is legal in new York but it's annoying when kids and adults are smoking weed in the park.
I was born (1955) and raised there until 1970 on 106 & Lex. It has changed immensely. What a huge improvement. The playground has had a complete overall except for the very spacious handball and basketball courts.
I returned this year for the 39th ANNUAL 106 STREET OLD TIMERS gathering. Which is held on the second Saturday of August. It was so much fun. The live music was amazing. And not some little band, closer to a small orchestra. I loved it and dance until I couldn’t anymore then rested and did it all over again. Not bad for a 67 year old…,
All in all I had a ball.

Great playground lots of fun but mainly for older kids. My kids love all the climbing structures. Their is a sand pit with water but the sprinklers are not the best considering that you have to wash out the sand some how.
They were having a fundraiser and providing information on a very serious illness. They had a DJ and performances from a dance group. Very nice park for children
