Great local chicken rice restaurant.Cheap and delicious, it reminds me of my grandmother who used to prepare chicken rice dinner for me. The chicken rice is certainly mouth watering and definitely irresistible. Worth to give it a try and you will remember the taste of the juicy chicken meat!! Definitely will come back next time when i am in penang!!!
This place is a hidden gem that serves great chicken with rice with great value for money. Having been disappointed by the tourist traps (average but expensive food) at Kimberly Street, I discovered this little eatery and went there for brunch. I was a little skeptical when I found no customers inside at 10am, but as soon as I sat down, the locals started to come and formed a queue for takeaways.
The chicken was smooth, tender and flavourful but the rice is not as fragrant as I have expected. What I love most was their marinated chicken liver!!!! If you like organs, you have to come because it's as creamy as foie gras but the marinate sauce removes the greasiness so it's just perfect!!!!
I'd prefer their dark chicken for its stronger aroma. Their white chicken is good too but the marinate sauce on top makes it difficult to taste the genuine flavour of chicken.

Most delicious chicken rice in Penang 👍👍👍 the rice is nice Fragrant , the chicken meat , juicy and tender, and the Chai Boey soup is very best . The owner is friendly too, Definitely will visit again.
Chicken is tender, rice is good , Owner is kind, and clean place. All of these are only 8 RK. I really appreciated.

Ive had the best Hainanese chicken rice here. I wish i lived right next to this restaurant so that i could go every day.. :)
At the first visit, i absolutely had no idea what to order (they have only one menu in different sizes. But you still get to choose between different types of chicken i think), but the uncle served the mixed plate. I just simply loved it :) Chicken, rice, chilli sauce and soup. Everything was perfect.
I visited again on the next day. Same great food. The chicken was super juicy, never eaten such juicy and tender chicken breast before and im serious. The tofu dish was on the house from the uncle. :)
And i think they are open only for lunch. I think you are safe if you go there before 13.30 ish. (Not guaranteed tho!)

Used to open their business in Chulia street a long time ago, you can find now this chicken rice brand legend in their new place, Lebuh Carnarvon.
They serve one of the best Hainanese chicken rice. Fragrant rice, soft, juicy and tender chicken meat, combined with delicious soya sauce and fat bean sprout, couldn't get you satisfied with just one portion.
Not demention the taste of their chicken rice, but this is also the most humble and friendly family owner of a restaurant in Penang I ever knew.

Went there with my boyfriend hehe. Everything's reaaallly perfect, the fragrance rice, soup, sauce and CIKENNN omg nyums we both rly satisfied wit uncle's nasi ayam. I really love this one soup but idk the name i think if im not mistaken its Chai Boey(?) soup? So niceee. The service also tiptop dabombz. People there are so nice, uncle will always ask if is there's anything we wanna tambah or is there anything tak cukup so lovely and generous. Will always be our fav spot for nasi ayam
Friendly service. Good place to have chicken rice. There 2 types of chicken rice. One is roasted chicken the other is Hainanese poached chicken. Comes with special chili sauce.
