Chateau de Turenne is an absolute dream come true! The castle is stunning and full of history, and the staff are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home.
The rooms are cozy and comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. And the views are simply breathtaking.
Overall, I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's a true hidden gem in the heart of France, and I can't wait to go back!

Take the advice of all of the other one star reviews and just look at my photos and don't visit. This is a privately owned castle and most areas are not open to the public. Just walk around the lovely medieval village take in a cafe. Look at the view from the top of the hill. Pretty much a rip off otherwise, clearly profiteering at 7.80 adult 5.80 child for 15mins look around. If you are reading this I will send you my bank details for my family's money back!

I'm visiting it for a second time and this time, in addition to the nice garden and nice view I was surprised by the really good snacks and wine in a small cafeteria they have inside: local food, everything bio. Highly recommended

Very much worth a visit!
One of the best preserved castles wíth medieval town that forms a nice whole. Whilst visiting the church was undergoing thorough renovation of its roof. Rich history and a fine terrace bar on the top of the castle too!

Nice castle on top of the hill. After paying €7.90 entry you can have a look inside two of the castles rooms with some info and see work of a contemporary exhibition (AI-generated art). The garden and it’s views are beautiful. If you want to go up the tower beware a lot of flies, someone really needs to do something about it + some sort of system of who goes up and who down would be needed. It’s not pleasent to wait on the top for quite some time while hundreds of flies try to eat you.

Beautiful Castle city with the old charm still intact. Not too far from Collonges-la-rouges, so you can do it together. You need to pay to go up to the Fort.

Whenever you are in the area; this castle is a must visit. The view of the castle in the distance is already breathtaking. You need to park downhill and after that walk a, steep, road upwards. After about 30 minutes of walking you will be able to enter the castle with an incredible view of the surrounding area.
