The best Italian restaurant in Manhattan. I have lived in NYC for more than 15-years and dine here often, and the food and service is always exceptional. The kitchen would make any Italian mom proud, delicious and fresh Italian food cooked to perfection; the desert's are heavenly; and the atmosphere is everything you expect in NYC. Love the live piano ... and keep your eye out, because this famed eatery is frequented by celebrities. The owners Craig and Kay make you feel like part of the family, and Tom, the host, is an icon in NYC.
ONE OF MY BEST EXPERIENCES IN THE CITY!! I stopped in late and exhausted with my son. I didn’t expect much, as I only wanted a to go order to take back to the hotel. We ended up there for close to 2 hours. The manager and bartender (Hector) were the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere. They were fun, attentive, kind, and made us feel like we were regulars! The food was phenomenal and extremely fair priced. The beer was ICE cold and the Shirley Temple 😉 was the literal cherry on top. Thanks guys for giving us the best night we’ve had yet… in our Jammie’s no less! Dont miss this hidden little gem!
I love Italian food, and the lasagna was excellent. The lentil soup and bread, along with the glass of wine, tasted so good.
Just terrible. To start the bartender couldn’t make a drink to save her life. We waited about an hour for our food and when it came it was cold. Instead of asking if they could do something, they said for us to just leave.
The piano player was so loud and it was like karaoke rather than relaxing music.
I’ve been here a few times years ago and loved it. I can’t believe how bad it’s gone downhill. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Get the Tiramisu! Made the traditional way in a sheet pan (vs individual) it was excellent. Best a I’ve had in the US (maybe a tiny touch too much whipped cream on the top layer). Pasta dinners were all lovely and typical of a good Italian restaurant. The wine list wasn’t current but the waiter suggested a great bottle. Service was fast. Gets crowded before and after theatre show times of course so plan ahead.
Worth the reservation or popping in! Such a cool place from the decor, the live piano, and the servers. The chocolate infused pasta was out of this world incredible. Sounds strange… just do it. You won’t regret it! The manager, Tom, is also awesome!
We were welcomed at the door. The atmosphere was fantastic. We got a great table for two. The server was great. The food and wine was exceptional. To top it off they had a piano player and singer. Great experience all around!
Our 2nd visit and food was still great and great service. Would definitely come back
