Der Markt ist eine tolle Sehenswürdigkeit. Die alten Fachwerkbauten faszinieren. Ebenso der Brunnen. Wir konnten bei strahlendem Sonnenschein einen Frühschoppen genießen.

The view of Trier. Lovely square to sit and watch people walk by. You can pick a place to sit and just enjoy the sparkling city and old buildings. I think I felt in love with the oldest city of Germany!

Beautiful old city market with alot of shops of ice cream, coffee, cake , kababs etc.
And the most beautiful is it's old buildings.
Must must visit.
It have a lovely fountain in the middle of the market I will add the pictures.

And it walking distance from porta nigra.

Sehr toller Platz mit vielen Geschäften. Generell ist die Innenstadt von Trier sehr schön. Zur Weihnachtszeit ist der Weihnachtsmarkt dort. Auch ein Besuch wert, da es dort auch noch wirklich Weihnachtsartikel zu kaufen gibt!

Der Hauptmarkt ist das Herz von Trier, der mit alten Bürgerhäusern, Cafés, Restaurants und Geschäften zum Verweilen einlädt. Wahrzeichen wie die Basilika oder die Porta Nigra befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die umliegenden Gaststätten scheinen sich teils an viel wechselnde Laufkundschaft gewöhnt zu haben, nicht immer wird man so bedient, dass man wieder kommen möchte.

The city centre (called Hauptmarkt) is the most charming part of the city. It is a square with lovely medieval buildings and structures. It is lined with cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops etc. It is the ideal place to relax and take a break from all the site seeing and walking.

Represents a typical old German town. Very picturesque market square with lots of restaurants and bier places around. The place is always bustling with people, mostly tourists. The place has many beautifully preserved medieval era buildings around. To have a better experience, I would recommend to sit with a chilled bier at one of the bier places and absorb the vibes. Many options for shopping lovers.

Ein fantastischer Platz im Zentrum von Trier mit fantastischen alten Gebäuden und schönen Brunnen.
Hier in einem der zahlreichen Cafés entspannen, bevor die nächsten Sehenswürdigkeiten besucht werden, lohnt sich ganz bestimmt!

Stunning! It's a shame there's quite a few vans around. I liked the wine bar in the middle. Cute touch. When you see the building with gold, if you go opposite that, you'll find the church.
