Going to IKEA is like going on a field trip to an amusement park or a museum. 5% of the experience is buying what you need, the other 95% is walking through the store and looking at every set and design and then looking at the stuffed animals right before the cafeteria where you eat some Swedish meatballs. By that point, it is likely you forgot why you came to IKEA in the first place. You are immersed in a once-in-a-lifetime experience that changes the way you shop forever. I got the lamp I needed but they didn’t have any of the carpets I wanted. The cafeteria food was fun, but a good one-time thing. Overall, I’d say that everyone should go to an IKEA at least once in their lives.

I would give them zero stars for customer service! They claim to offer curbside, but make an excuse as to why they can’t do curbside (once the option is selected). In addition, they don’t help load the furniture. If you call them, the automated system tells you to call back another day because they are busy. Lousy from beginning to end!

There was a winter sale when I went. The restaurant wasn’t as clean as some of the other locations I’ve been to. Be careful with what you eat there because the Swedish meatballs got me puking and I probably got the stomach flu because of it.

We went to IKEA for the Lucia celebration. There was lots of food, and lots of dessert, and they had Swedish folk musicians and dancers there. It was a lot of fun!

I love IKEA! I go to IKEA to walk around. Clear my head, get new home decor ideas and to eat the delicious foods; to be honest. Occasionally, I go to the “As-IS” section and get some really good deals! Occasionally. I buy something’s if the price fits my budget. The furniture I have purchased from IKEA to include a mattress, dresser set, kitchen stuff are all still in great shape and I am using them all with a smile! I find all of the products to be are made! I live the ikea catalogue too. I love the College Park Maryland location!

I love going to ikea on a weekday to avoid a huge crowd. Go there early if you want more space and peace of mind. Food is good too. But i feel like ikea has gotten more expensive.

Idea = Ikea which is always a great place to go to get ideas of how to maximize space and find some interesting products. If you doing any type of redesign or 1st time setups, I recommend this stop. They have a dinner area and a snack section too so u can eat 😋 there too hahaha.

Not what it used to be, but since the pandemic, what is? Everything is one step uglier and sadder than before. But Ikea seems to have Americanized a little. One of the draws to Ikea was their World View on home furnishings. Most people in the world don't live in McMansions. They often live in spaces 1000sq.ft. or less, which is the space I occupy, so all the compact furniture, creative storage solutions, fold-down tables, etc., has been wonderful! They absolutely still make that stuff, but they seem to also want to enlarge much of what they make to fill the huge, barn-sized dwellings most of our eco-minded citizens own.

Overall, however, I still love the store. They still have exciting products, good prices, complementary furniture, and unique household goods. They could make it easier to navigate (was more confusing than a Vegas casino). They need to return to the reflective store map rather than the simplified (complicated) store "map" based on the oversimplified NYC subway system map. It's only because I recently visited NYC that I figured out their navigation system.

This store is near the District of Columbia. If you'd like to base the store map on a subway map, mimic the DC Metro map at the DC adjacent store. People in the DC area are familiar with it.

PS: The salon vignette was sublime. This is why I love this store!
