We went to IKEA for the Lucia celebration. There was lots of food, and lots of dessert, and they had Swedish folk musicians and dancers there. It was a lot of fun!

If you are interested in history, this would be a great place to come. The property was first purchased buy one of George Washington's granddaughters using an inheritance fund from George Washington. Inside the house there are many historic paintings and items, including many formerly owned by George Washington from Mount Vernon. The grounds are lovely and are free to walk about. Entrance to the house in a tour are inexpensive. We spent a nice afternoon here!
Studio Theatre

Very nice theater, small and intimate. It was a little bit chilly, bring a sweater or jacket. The facilities are all very good. The plays are not inexpensive, and usually a bit edgy. We saw a play called Clyde's, which was an interesting study of ex-convicts and their struggle to make a life after leaving prison. It was an edgy, uplifting portrayal, and I liked it.

This is a beautiful building, they have a great mural flowing all the way up the stairs. There are art exhibits, and a film about a part of Mexico. The event we attended was really fun, it celebrated the Day of the Dead

I visited the Amy Kaslow Gallery where a friend of mine had some sculptures on display. It's a small gallery, but a very nice collection of both sculptures and artwork.
