There has a bus and metro to downtown. I recommended metro since no traffic. Food inside airport is expensive.

A busy airport with only one runway and another one is being built for several years and not ready yet by 2023, so prepare yourself for delays. Shopping and catering services are sufficient. I recommend you to enter one of the lounges here as the prices for a snack or a drink at the cafe restaurants have rocketed up even for the tourists!
By the way this is a very secure airport with 2 security controls, one when entering and the other one after passport control

Istanbul's second and smaller airport which focuses mainly on domestic and some international routes. They have good connections to London.

Tons of F&B here including local and western fast food. Very sad to see Popeyes here. Well signposted and helpful information desks. Wifi needs a code from the machine which has long lines and there aren't enough bathrooms to meet the passenger level.

Ground transportation is ok with airport -city busses and a metro line. Security is very thorough with several bag checks so factor that into your timescale

Medium size airport, good for short connecting flights. If the connecting flight is in more than 2 hours, the place feels really small. The number and the cleanness of restrooms is not adequate for the volume of passengers the airport is processing. Overcrowded, not fit for the existing turnover of passengers and flights.

Great airport to fly in and out of. Lots of shopping options available on departure and a great duty free on arrival.

Sabiha Gokçen airport exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, ensuring a smooth travel experience. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and offered a wide range of amenities. Overall, it provided a seamless and enjoyable journey from start to finish.

A nice airport where it's always easy to find your way. Many transport options too, however only during daytime. From 23.30 to 6.00 you will NOT find public transport options other than very limited buses that won't take you down the city. After 23.30 the taxi queue and the airport overall is very crowded because of these transportation issues that MUST BE SOLVED immediately. If you arrive after 23.30, make sure you arrange your personal transportation beforehand.

Overall a good airport. Was in no. more than 5 times, and flew away, and flew into it. But there is a big minus is the huge queues at customs upon arrival. I once flew from Amsterdam to Antalya with a change in Istanbul and almost missed the change as the queue was almost 2 hours long. I managed to catch the flight at the last moment. Please make a fast transit for those flying further, because after customs you will have to go through security again, why? I don’t understand ☹️ Of the pluses, a large number of establishments and a metro station, which congratulates you on getting into the city.
