A must for vegans visiting Astana, I had pizza and it was fabulous. It is a shame I only had chance to visit once.
This is the only place in Astana that I'm aware of where you can get authentic vegan Kazakh food. The Besparmak, Uzbek Manti, Lagman, non fish, etc. are all delicious and well worth the visit. The hostess is extremely kind and they greet you very warmly here.
I'm not vegan, but I can vouch that the besbarmak, pelmeni, Manti, and other delicious foods are authentic taste wise and pleasantly close to the original dishes. In all honesty, I was blown away at the quality of the food.

Peaceful restaurant, with a diverse and creative menu. They have starters, salads, soups, mains, and desserts, and hot drinks. We had dumplings (one portion filled with cabbage and potatoe, and another with lentils and cumin), and solyanka soup with unleavened bread.
All was really tasty, and we had a large pot of hot ginger tea :)

Excellent vegetarian cafe in Kazakhstan's capital with plentiful vegan options. It has a cozy and comfortable atmosphere and is close to public transportation. It's not off of the main road, but don't be discouraged if it takes a few minutes to find! This place really is a haven for vegans and vegetarians in Kazakhstan. They also make vegan cheese here. I had a salad with avocado and pine nuts and mushroom soup. Both were delicious, especially the salad (and I am not usually a huge fan of salads). The menu has many options from different cuisines, and it is ALL vegetarian.

We ordered the vegan pizza from the menu, but when brought to the table it was nothing like in the description. When asked about it, the owner!! of the place said it is the first time he sees it on the English menu. Also the buns in the burgers were very stale. Not impressed! The avo salad was ok.
The restaurant is very nice and comfortable. The owner was incredibly nice and sat with me for a conversation and menu recommendations. The food was good although the burger was not as I would have it in the UK. I tried a few local dishes and they were great, very tasty. There was enough choices for vegans but on this day all the cakes and dessert were vegetarian. Prices were a little more that expected but still very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit.
Perhaps the only place in Astana, where true vegans and vegetarians will be happy with meal. As everything is done with a piece of soul and attention to details, whether it is pizza or national cuisine's best seller "manty". You can even request a delivery. And this is the only place, where you won't find any meat or fish cooking. I strongly recommend to give it a try and #govegan
