Hakka Legend Asian Cuisine Markham

Markham is slowly becoming saturated with Hakka restaurants.
The latest I've come across is Hakka Legend.
Their menu is extensive with plenty of variety. For the classic and safe bet we tried their hakka chow main and chili chicken.
Chili chicken was lovely, slightly Crispy on the outside but tender on the inside.
Their noodles were flavorful, but the texture/shape resembled somewhat like spaghetti.

Do note, I was disappointed that they do not include rice with any entrees, while other Hakka restaurants do offer it free of charge. This can pose as a deterrence as they will need to contend against Frederick's located in the next plaza over that's already got it loyal clientele.

I tried this place forst time. They were just about to close but still took my krdee ot was really quick so that will definitely help ythis rating as I was starving after work.
I got chicken fried rice it was cooked perfectly and taste was good with hot sauce. Also decent chicken to rice ratio.
I have had better but it's worth a try and I will be back for more.
Friendly and fast service, or at least that was my experience.

This location really let me down...
Sweet chicken and corn soup was very salty.
Crispy Ginger Beef , Sweet Sour Chicken, Deep Fried Calamari all had a bitter taste, the oil they used must has been burned or using it for too many times.
Deep fried calamari not only has bitter taste on the outer coating but calamari itself was completely bland.

I will never come back to this location

This place is awesome. Best Hakka restaurant in Markham! The owner is very nice and friendly, and the staff are always great. We usually get pick up or delivery, but occasionally we do dine in. There are also of vegan options, and they allow customization to make it vegan.

Worst experience with food, service, very unhygienic.
While still at the restaurant, I feel compelled to share my experience at Hakka Legend in Markham in order to provide potential diners with insight. Unfortunately, my visit fell short of expectations, leaving me deeply disappointed. The quality of the food did not meet my anticipated standards, and the service I received was unpleasant.

A notable issue arose when I ordered the Manchurian balls, only to discover that they were uncooked and inedible. When I brought this to the attention of the server, their defensive and rude response caught me off guard. They even touched the fork I was using to break open a manchurian ball, which raised health concerns. Instead of acknowledging the problem and working towards a solution, they insisted that the balls were cooked and dismissed my complaint. To exacerbate the situation, the server, who turned out to be the owner, arrogantly stated that even if the balls were replaced, the outcome would be the same, and I would be charged for both orders.

This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and the lack of professionalism in handling the situation left me greatly disappointed. Any reputable establishment should uphold high standards in food preparation and address customer concerns with care and respect. Regrettably, Hakka Legend failed to meet these basic expectations.

In addition to the poor food quality and unprofessional service, the overall ambiance of the restaurant was lacking. This unfortunate experience has diminished my desire to revisit Hakka Legend in the future.

I cannot recommend Hakka Legend in Markham to those seeking a pleasant dining experience. Given the similarity of this review to others, I doubt that the management of Hakka Legend will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements in their food quality and customer service.

Great halal chinese food at a reasonable price. Everything was very tasty, not too spicy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food arrived fast and was hot. Ordered fried rice, pakora, and garlic spicy chicken. Overall, fine dining and experience.

Delicious Indo Chinese food. Tried their mango salad, fried rice and Hakka noodles. Everything was extremely tasty. The ambience was very cool. Staff and servers were very friendly and respectful. Much recommend place to go for Hakka Chinese food in GTA.

First time having Hakka. Don't think I made the right menu choices. Don't order the Manchurian chicken it was horrible. Order from the chefs specials, the table next to us seemed extremely happy with their food.
