This very old oak tree dating back to the early 11th century and remembering many famous people. Fortunately 🙏,it has survived to this day's and is protected by the state

This was a wonderful place to sit and sketch. If the story is true it's a beautiful place to be. Story is King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn danced around it and Queen Elizabeth I was sitting under it when she was told she was Queen. Does it matter?Nope there is almost 100% chance Queen Elizabeth I walked here and that was enough for me. It was peaceful and wonderful forever memory. If you get the chance give it a go. Beautiful walk either way.

Nothing special, apart from the remains of an old tree.

This huge oak tree dates back to the 12th century and has a strong link to the Tudor Royal Family. According to legend, King Henry VIII once danced around this oak tree with Anne Boleyn, and Queen Elizabeth I was said to have often taken refreshment whilst relaxing in its shade.

The tree itself is just a fallen trunk now, surrounded by a fence with a plaque. There’s a young oak tree (I think planted by Prince Phillip) next to it but that is now obscuring the plaque from view.

It’s inside the park, not a big deal, but the park is magnificent you should visit! And enjoy sitting in the calm of the nature and the singing of birds

Fallen oak tree which is fabled to have been a favourite of Queen Elizabeth I to take lunches and tea. King Henry VIII and the ill-fated Anne Boleyn are said to have danced around this tree, obviously in happier times. Beautiful piece of Tudor history, dating back more than 400 years. Nice pit stop for those visiting the park or the nearby museums/attractions.

Being honest, it is a dead tree but with some story tied onto it. I would recommend to visit this area, you wont disappoint to stay close to nature and view london skyline
