A nice stop if you are in the vicinity....great panoramas.....the fortress itself looks better from outside than it looks inside 😏 no access to the fortress (inside) for people with physical disabilities 👎👎👎

The tickets are 10 lei for adults and 5 lei for kids over 7 years. The prices are a little bit high for see the fortress where u can see only the outside walls and they are not maintained at least. The only good thing there is the view that you will have it.

Nice view on top of the fortress.
10 minutes are enough to see it.
10 lei entrance fee.

The fortress looks nice as it was restored a few years ago. Entrh ticket is some 12 lei. A bit off the beaten path but worth a detour.

An unexpected visit. Even though the inner courtyard of the fortress is relatively empty and might seem boring at first, the walls and their tower are quite spectacular. It also offers a fantastic spot for one of the most traditional Dobrudjan sceneries, its clean and it seems recently renovated. The view is what's worth it the most.

The road to the castle is very good. You can go there by car. There is a parking place at about 150 metres from the entrance. Also there is a toilet and it was very clean, when we were there.

From the parking places you have to walk to the entrance and from this 150 metres about 100 is a steep climb. There is a small ticket building where you can buy tickets to visit the castle. The ticket price is about 2 EUR and you must pay in romanian currency - 10 RON (lei). From there you can buy some souvenirs, if you want.

From the entrance, to reach the castle, you have to climb a few stairs and then to walk on a very unfriendly path. At the entrance there are some information, 4 panels, about the castle and surroundings, in romanian and english language.

In the castle there is nothing, nothing special and also nothing. Oh, sorry there are a few signs warning you to stay away from the edge, because there are no railings, and to not climb on the walls (there is nothing to stop you).

The view is beautiful and there is also a binoculars near the guardian house - there is a guardian house near the castle - for free, to admire the surroundings.

I have been there a few day before. It was a cold -5°C day. The wind made it more terrible, but letting all that aside i got to understand the beauty and the importance of this military compound! It was a harsh job to do, on a beautiful place. I wish the Romanian state would try to preserve it more. It's worth the travel if you like to get in touch with the past.
