Sensationell. Mailand von einer modernen, futuristischen Seite. Tolle Architektur, wunderbare Cafés und vielseitige Möglichkeiten zum Shoppen. So viele Eindrücke, so viel zu erleben, kaum zu beschreiben. Ein Must see in Mailand

Modern part of Milano, I was really surprised from plants and insects around beautiful buildings

Beautiful square. Often busy with people just hanging out and enjoying the atmosphere. Surrounded by great shops and buildings.

This is a new city concept park surrounded by modern high-rise buildings and shops. Crowded by both tourists and locals, this is a new development area in Milan. It somehow reminds me of a bit of Frankfurt, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur. I love beautifully designed modern buildings, fountains and some artistic touches. Definitely interesting to see modern aspect of Milan,

Noch nicht mal ein Stern wert!

Kein Grashalm, kein Garnichts!

This round square is the face of 21st century Milan. Or, at least, the symbol of how Milan sees itself and how it wants to be seen in the 21st century: shiny new buildings, imposing, yet sleek skyscrapers, corporate offices, restaurants and shopping centers. You may like or dislike the style (and the stark contrast with the old architecture of Milan), but it is important to go and see it as a symbol. It was inaugurated at the end of 2012 and dedicated to the Italian architect and designer Gae Aulenti, who had passed a couple of months before. It combines this aseptic modernity with some green spaces and the fountains at the center of this round square measuring 100 meters in diameter are also a fun place for kids to get wet in the summer. Everything is nicely maintained and spotlessly clean. To fully embrace the symbolism, have an ice cream at Grom's on the square: Grom was created as an artisanal ice cream parlour in the "rival city" of Turin and then it was incorporated into a large industrial corporation around the same time the square opened to the public (but the ice cream is still really good).

Symbolic square of the modern part of Milan. As soon as you arrive in the square it has a somewhat strange look but then when you look closely it also becomes kinda interesting. Near the square there are many offices, cafés, restaurants and shops. The historic area near the square is also very nice, which has several nice restaurants with good prices to consider
