Oystercatchers in Tampa has an INCREDIBLE brunch spread that is sure to please all. From gourmet french toast - to cheesy grits - to omelets & eggs Benedict… it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory.

However!!! *important note* — because of its popularity, you may need to expect a wait. Best to make reservations! While waiting for a table can be a bit inconvenient, the dining experience that awaits makes it well worth the patience.

Overall, Oystercatchers is an excellent brunch choice despite the wait for seating. If you’re in good company, you won’t mind the wait. 😉

Food is described one way on the menu (as if using special ingredients) and arrives very basic. The best thing I had were their truffle fries. Max did an excellent job of upsetting and being excited about the food. Wish we shared the same excitement he had describing it while eating. We had the octopus, Rockefeller oysters, maple smoked old fashioned, Empress Lavender lemon sparkling wine cocktail, Kung pao brussels sprouts (not spicy or crispy, did not have toppings so very basic), gruyere Mac n cheese (not much flavor truly), yuca fries, sticky date dessert, & cheesecake. It was a 1st date for me and the first time there... I think the food was so mediocre it affected the date. I think we kept hoping to order enough variety so we could find something to wow us... turns out the truffle French fries & empress cocktail were "it." Max was a sweetheart, though.

An awesome spot for having dinner and enjoying the sunset. Had some Oysters, Tuna Yellowtail and Brussel Sprouts. The last two were worth coming back for. And yes, the assorted breads were perfect!! Keeps you wanting more. Good food with good presentation.

My family and I visited this restaurant on our trip to Tampa. Our waiter, an older gentleman was amazing! My cousin was loosing her voice and he brought her a special drink, he called it “Grandmas remedy”. She loved it! The food was pretty good! I enjoyed the Empress 75, it was fun and tasty!(the bubbly drink). I think the restaurant could use a bit more care when it comes to cleaning. There were certain things that looked like they needed to be wiped down, and the bathroom need a bit more attention.

It's about a 5-minute walk from the Hyatt Hotel. Although there's a shuttle bus, I recommend walking because the trail is scenic. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the food was delicious. The staff explained the menu thoroughly. I ordered key lime pie for dessert, and it was exceptionally tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Oystercatchers is a great place to go for high-end seafood. It is great for a special occasion or date night. The food was wonderful, and the service was just as good. Everything we had, we enjoyed. The ambiance adds to the experience.

Close to a 5 star rating. My main dish was just a bit bland, but the service was good and the view of the bay is amazing. Bit tucked away and you have to drive around a bit to get here, but worth a visit.

Brunch is fantastic- the lobster roll was fresh and had large chunks of lobster. The coffee is great and the complimentary bread basket includes sumptuous pastries. Great friendly service and the Al fresco dining is shaded and breezy. This is a really nice way to start a Sunday!
