Oystercatchers in Tampa has an INCREDIBLE brunch spread that is sure to please all. From gourmet french toast - to cheesy grits - to omelets & eggs Benedict… it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory.
However!!! *important note* — because of its popularity, you may need to expect a wait. Best to make reservations! While waiting for a table can be a bit inconvenient, the dining experience that awaits makes it well worth the patience.
Overall, Oystercatchers is an excellent brunch choice despite the wait for seating. If you’re in good company, you won’t mind the wait. 😉

Miami International Airport
Inefficient layout. Great lounges.
You could consider us “frequent flyers” in the past couple of years and somehow, our destinations were nearly always cursed with the unfortunate departure or stop at Miami international. MIA is the definition of a labyrinth. They might as well offer rental cars from one end to the other. Each terminal feels like walking from California to Florida. Yes, the shuttles are available however, they take time to wait on (once located) and can be somewhat confusing when already rushing to make a flight. There have been numerous occasions when my gate has changed unexpectedly and I have had to SPRINT with luggage across Narnia to the new gate. The distance and offshoots make for a stressful flying experience.
To lighten the negatives however, the Miami Centurion lounge is one of the better centurion locations. Amidst the maze, it feels like a sanctuary. Tranquil ambiance, comfortable seating, charging ports accessible everywhere, and a diverse culinary experience. A hidden gem of MIA. A MUST if your route or departure involves stopping in Miami!

Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
Undoubtedly, the Smithsonian Natural History Museum stands out as one of the most exceptional museums I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. This museum’s exhibits cater to a wide array of interests, spanning from dinosaurs and early hominids to safari animals, aquatic life, minerals, and even the world-renowned Hope Diamond.
When planning your visit, be prepared to allocate at least four hours to fully explore the majority of the exhibits, even if you keep a fast pace… it’s a lot to absorb! To make the most of your visit, it's probably even a good plan to have an idea of which exhibits you’d like to prioritize, as well as include time to enjoy the educational videos sprinkled throughout your tour. 😊
The museum's security procedures are smooth and efficient, and unlike some of my other museum experiences, I was pleased that personal water bottles are allowed. All in all, the Smithsonian Natural History Museum guarantees an immersive experience that is certain to leave a lasting impression.

Brickell City Centre
An attraction that really captures all that Miami is. The innovative open-air design, complemented by state-of-the-art canopies and meticulous spatial planning, undoubtedly positions this mall as an exceptional gem within Florida's retail landscape. Featuring a curated selection of upscale boutiques, enticing dining options, and charming coffee shops, this establishment promises an enriching and aesthetically pleasing shopping experience. With picturesque vistas perfect for Instagram-worthy photos, it has quickly become my preferred destination in Florida. However, do note that due to its immense popularity, parking spaces tend to be in high demand. It is advisable to seek a parking spot nearby and enjoy a leisurely stroll to the mall to fully relish its unparalleled ambiance. Lovely way to spend a day in Miami.
Thrill Rides
— A must-see while in Vegas! —
It’s sooooo windy up here!!!! (As to be expected) It feels like you can see the entire state of Nevada from Big Shot! Unfortunately, when it gets this windy, they close down Big Shot specifically and only allow the other rides to operate. The ride in my attached photo was by far my favorite. The claw-arm spins you and 7 others out over the entire city.. IMPORTANT: they warn you but still, shoes.. sunglasses.. & phones can plummet to certain death so be careful.
Try to plan on a day that’s not so windy to enjoy the full experience!!
