Time Out Sailing

Master Captain Jake was a wonderful host and tour guide. he took care to assess our level of experience, exposure and tolerance for adventure. 😏

Jake has a life full of entertaining and engaging stories and is very knowledgeable of the area, the industry and the equipment and vessels.

My boyfriend (with the sailing experience of years past) was able to steer and help make the sharp turns required. I took plenty of pictures and had a few snacks. If you wanted Jake to do all the sailing while you nosh on some charcuterie and vino, Jake can clearly take care of it all.

We came back into the harbor right in front of one of the big ships then "stepped aside" and watched it pass and navigate to its destination...pretty cool experience with unique perspective.

We had hoped for a sunset but the clouds did not cooperate... and it was a fantastic experience regardless. Thank you!!

We went on the sunset tour. Jake and Kelly are amazing people it was the bookend to our honeymoon! And a memory we will never forget. Jake is a passionate sailor and so willing to teach , host , enlighten and share his life of sailing. Kelly was awesome when it came to booking our trip and was even able to accommodate us in changing our date due to weather.

Time Out Sailing in Duluth, MN is so much fun! Captain Joe was great with teaching the kids how to sail a 38’ sailboat and give them an experience to remember. We look forward to sailing with these guys again!

Our morning half day trip with Time Out Sailing was incredible. Thanks to Jake and Kelly for being a great duo, making the experience from booking to disembarking a wonderful experience. Their communication emails are spot on, and more thorough than expected, with plenty of opportunity to reach out if there are any questions. Jake was a wonderful captain and a great host. The boat was in excellent condition. The experience was unforgettable for our family.

Tom and I received this adventure as a gift from our kids! Weather was perfect and our captain Jake was fantastic! So relaxing, even driving the boat!

My wife, her daughter, and I took a private 4-hour sailing cruise with Captain Jake in mid-July.. What a wonderful experience! Jake was friendly, courteous, and helpful... just a great guy to spend the time with. We each had time to navigate at the helm. Judy's daughter even helped hoist the main sail! A fun, fun afternoon! We all highly recommend Time Out Sailing!

We did the sunset sailing, and it was magical to say the least. Jake was super easy to talk with, and very educational about sailing. Our group of 4 all had an amazing time, and loved every minute of our time on Time Out.

Captain Jake was a wonderful host and knowledgeable guide, and was great with our 5 year old. My husband had a blast learning to sail, and I enjoyed just getting to kick back and relax. The boat is comfortable and clean, and there’s a kitchenette on board in case you want to prep some snacks. Perfect first sailing experience for our family!
