I was in the area and was crossing the bridge and stopped to walk along this beautiful area. What a pleasant surprise.
Very cool. In ~October when the Salmon are running, you can see hundreds of them. And a few knowledgeable seals too.
Watch the salmon swim upstream and go up the fish ladder from a small bridge. During spawning season, it's easy to see the fish as they hang out below the bridge and then swim and leap to go up the Whatcom Creek fish ladder. Great place for adults and kids alike.
