It's always fun to visit Lynden for lunch and browsing through stores. The huge, colorful hanging baskets and other flowers along Front Street in spring and summer are a joy to see as well.

Pretty good food (we had fish and chips and fish tacos), with a great atmosphere and attentive service. Good selection of beers, including some local choices.

Beautiful, peaceful place to take a walk with views of the city, Mt Baker, Bellingham Bay, and the islands.

Watch the salmon swim upstream and go up the fish ladder from a small bridge. During spawning season, it's easy to see the fish as they hang out below the bridge and then swim and leap to go up the Whatcom Creek fish ladder. Great place for adults and kids alike.

Small but fun and educational place to learn about the creatures that live in our local marine environment. The staff are very knowledgeable and signs on or near each habitat/aquarium are really informative too. We learned a lot and enjoyed seeing the wide range of sea life - everything from an eel to fish, scallops, different types of crab, anemones, and so much more.
