They have a nicely maintained trail to get to the waterfall which was a spectacular view!

Nice hike at oconee state park, heading from parking to station cove falls, Greta trail very well maintained and the path is clear enough from any leaves and there's a nice lake and the waterfall is breathtaking, I also saw a couple of armadillos around the side of the trail.

At the parking lot there are restrooms and trails It's pet friendly, enjoy and have a great time.

Despite the pouring rain, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this historical site. It has the right balance between pure nature and accommodations. After parking by the picnic area and restroom facilities, a broad path leads up a slight hill to the historic buildings with interesting information on its past. Heading back up the main entrance road is the trailhead to a nice pond and continuing about 1.5mi down to Station Cove Falls, which are quite spectacular!

Interesting historical spot with nice picnic area and bathroom. One note...if you are looking for the Station Cove waterfall, drive up the road a quarter mile and look for the marker. If you leave from here, the trail takes you past a swampy area and back out to the road and then to the marker for the waterfall. It is a nice walk either way but not a loop and if you are short on time, it is easier to park at the waterfall marker.

Oconee Station is the oldest building in our county. It's a great place to visit and has trails connecting to many of the other parks in this county. I've been going there since I was a kid, they have made a lot of improvements over the years. There are a lot of historical sites to see in this area. Highway 11 is covered with local history.

It's a really neat place to visit. It teaches a lot of the history of the backcountry of South Carolina in the early days of the country. And, the Stone House is the oldest building in Oconee County. Do check the website, as the restrooms are only open on certain days. The houses are open certain times of the year. Again, it's best to check the website. There are some picnic areas, and the grounds are very nicely maintained. You can access the main trails from The visitor center. That trail will also take you to the Station Cove Falls, which is about a 3 mile hike from the actual Station. Or, you can drive down to the trailhead, but parking is a bit limited in the busier months.

It was closed the day we went which basically meant no ranger on site or no access to the bathroom which wasn't a deal breaker for us. The grounds are gorgeous. The trail to the waterfall is very beginner friendly, my 4 year old did it with no problems.

A very nice historic site near Walhalla, SC off the Cherokee Hills Scenic Byway (SC-11). The history of the site is fascinating, it has good interpretive signing, and the ranger on site on Sunday was very knowledgeable about the history of the Station and surrounding area. Station Cove Falls is also part of the park and can be reached via a short trail. The waterfall is gorgeous and well worth taking the time to go down to.
