Very interesting . Go down into the caves in the cage it's spectacular. Not much in English our fault for limited French . You can get headphones with a translation.
very interesting and nice place to visit. A bit long film at the beginning. I recommend to go :)
Great visit. The cave is amazing. The surprise of going down and discovering the inside of the cave is an unforgettable experience.
Pictures not allowed is a bit stupid for a tourist attraction but I understand flashes might ruin the light show but then just prohibit flashes and not pictures alltogether.
The cave isn't the largest but a nice tour is available and the cart thingy is quite unique and links to the history and story.
We also liked the small playground and rock finding activity for the kids.
Gift shop with 38c outside needs to run the AC tho and not open the windows and doors 😉

Ganz tolle Führung für Groß und Klein. Sehr sehenswert. Wirklich empfehlenswert. Man kann den ganzen Tag dort verbringen. Die Toiletten waren sauber!
I have visited quite some caves in my life, but this cave, Gouffre de Poumeyssac, was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Everyone who worked at the cave was very kind and happy to help. And the cave itself was very beautiful. We took the walking tour, and not the tour with the basket going down. At the start we got to see a little introduction movie about the history of the cave. The movie was quite well done and you could see they put a lot of effort into it. The movie was in French, but with headphones you could watch the movie in your own language of choice. Inside the cave you'll walk with a guide who will tell you stuff about the cave in French. If you're not fluent in French, like me, you can use an audio guide. I will not spoil the experience in the cave any further, you'll have to see it yourself, but I can tell you it was just gorgeous.
Definitely a recommendation if you're ever in the neighbourhood!

Absolutely stunning ! The twist of getting in the hole via the small gondola, like it was done in 1907 (almost ) is an amazing experience that needs to be booked in advance! The views, the galleries, the amazing crystal cave make the inside magical. But the outside is also great ! Between the geologic show of Professor Geopole, the mineral River and the small fun hikes, this makes a great afternoon for families.
Nice cave with beautifull entertainment. Audio available in 6 languages (including dutch). Video/photo not allowed.
