Beehive Trail

The trail is absolutely beautiful but it is not for people that have fear of heights. The ladders and passages on the cliffs are not for the fainted hearts as the climb is quasi vertical. I would not recommend it for your children as this is quite a dangerous ascension. The connection to the bowl is much milder and allows beautiful views too.
Stunning place in Bard College with excellent exhibitions showcasing world renown artists. Entrance is free as well.
Excellent half day of visit between the gardens, the Tintin exhibit, the car & boar rides, the castle and the grounds. Great display overall ! Opens at 9.15AM in the summer.
Commarque Castle

We did the second night experience at Commarque and what a great surprise. The nigh experience is featuring an amazing display of poetry, class and fun in one of the most stunning castle in the region. The little market & food trucks are a perfect start to the ascension of the castle in darkness. Yes it is steep and a little frightening at times but what a show! The lights are displayed to perfection, the acoustic of the castle help displaying some music and the meeting with strange creatures are just wonderful. A big bravo to the team putting this event in place.
Absolutely stunning ! The twist of getting in the hole via the small gondola, like it was done in 1907 (almost ) is an amazing experience that needs to be booked in advance! The views, the galleries, the amazing crystal cave make the inside magical. But the outside is also great ! Between the geologic show of Professor Geopole, the mineral River and the small fun hikes, this makes a great afternoon for families.
