Some pictures and review are misleading. This location is NOT the trailhead for biking. Bikes are not allowed on this section of the trail.
For biking the trailhead is the parking lot 1/2 mile north - near Gunston elementary.

Fun trails, good mix of smooth, hills, and roots.... float on OW fam!

Walk in the trail past the 3rd bridge no problems coming out & coming back the same way heard a big boom like a gunshot and laying across the trail was a huge oak tree had fallen down. Up rooted in the rain soaked bank.

Great mountain bike trails with multiple skills features and jumps. Short (relatively) but sweet, has everything for all level of riders. One of the slowest to dry out after rain/snow. Biking Bad with TC.

One of the best spots to mountain bike in northern Virginia! A little bit shorter than Fountainhead but there are a lot of different ways to make loops and extend your ride! This route is good for all skill levels! There are two intermediate rated, one way trails, but they are entirely optional and have bypasses for most of the bigger features. Most of the features on these trails are wooden, which is not my personal favorite but does give me something new to try!

Super fun mtb trail that's well maintained.
