Love the running trail options both paved and trails. There are also several playground equipment areas along the trail as well for children. Just be mindful of the wildlife there’s lots of it!

My kids didn't like it 😕 but there is a small playground and a walking field.

Great chance to get away from madness on Duke st. Quiet , serene , and picturesque. Wide paved path which allowed for social spacing. Many spots to picnic on a blanket. No tables but a few benches. We live nearby and come here frequently. In the past there were migratory birds, but not this time.

Great place to walk, jog or just to find a shady spot and hang out. Found a lost baby heron near the road further down Eisenhower ave, and called animal control to help it. Lots of nature.

Beautiful park for walking your dogs, running, relaxing and be close to the nature.

The park is definitely a good place to get in some running trail miles underneath a canopy of shady trees beside Holmes Run. Especially of value during the hot humid summer time. This is a safe well-used park area with just the right amount of traffic so you don't feel too crowded yet good to not be isolated. If you want a longer run over five miles you'll need to consult a map and be familiar with connecting roadways to plan a route, especially if you're cycling. If you're walking and/ or have kids, lots of playground type stops along the route in the park and lots of connector access paths from the urban neighborhoods lining the park area.

I love this park , it's great for running cycling . Bring your family friends and if you have a dog it will be great for them . Ita start from Columbia pike all the way to Van Dorn st or more maybe . If you would like to run it's a Good place. Park open at 5am till 10pm . Ita scure there is police walking around so no worries.

I used to live across Holmes Run from my girlfriend. We spent a lot of time in this park, it's part of a fantastic greenway that runs from the other side of Van Dorn Street all the way to the city library and beyond. It's a hidden treasure; there's a lot of them on the west end of ALX.
