VERY pleasantly surprised by The Halal Guys in Porter Square as well as in Boston at the Park Square Building. I walked in thinking about my culinary experiences in Europe and found that they do a pretty good job in Porter Square as well. I ordered the Beef and Chicken Combo Gyro and was served a good sized portion for $11.99. They even have the huge slab of beef on a huge skewer behind the counter! Lots of veggies, pita bread, chicken and beef in a huge bowl with a choice of sauces. Hummus and falafel are also on the menu. I opted for taboule for a little bit more and readily enjoyed all of it. They could upgrade presentation from aluminum and plastic and service at the counter was partly engaging, partly surly based on who you were standing in front of at that moment. Overall, fresh, plentiful portions at a reasonable price in basically clean, pleasant surroundings. I have gone back twice already!

A Flavorful Delight of Halal Guys: A Must-Try!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Halal Guys, and I must say, it was an incredible experience that left a lasting impression on my taste buds. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm smiles and friendly staff who made me feel right at home.

The menu offered a fantastic variety of mouthwatering options, and being a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, I couldn't wait to indulge in their famous platters. I opted for their classic chicken and gyro combo over rice, and it was nothing short of perfection. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the rice was cooked to perfection, complemented by their signature white sauce and hot sauce that added the perfect balance of creaminess and spice.

What impressed me the most was the generous portions they served. Every bite was a delightful explosion of flavors, leaving me completely satisfied and eager to return for more. The ingredients tasted fresh, and it was evident that they take immense pride in the quality of their food.

Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant was vibrant and inviting, with a perfect blend of modern and traditional elements. It was clear that they put thought into creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience for their customers.

I would highly recommend Halal Guys to anyone in search of delicious, authentic halal food. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or new to exploring it, you won't be disappointed. Their dedication to quality, excellent service, and delectable flavors make them a standout choice.

In conclusion, my visit to Halal Guys was an absolute delight, and I look forward to returning soon to savor more of their delectable offerings. Kudos to the entire team for providing an outstanding dining experience that celebrates the essence of halal food. Halal Guys has undoubtedly won a loyal customer in me!

After a long time I had a nice Chicken 🐔 falafel platter. Ordered for small quantity and it really came in a nice portion to fulfill my hunger. Chicken was rightly cooked with rice, salad & bread. They charged extra for hot & white sauce. Both sauces was too good. The hot chilly 🌶️ sauce was very hot so be careful. Overall it was nice quality 👌& quantity 👍 food. One should try for sure.

I returned today and had great service! From ordering to checkout! Very happy. Still 50 cents or 1.00 to add on.
Pretty good food and presentation. Customer service is okay. Olives hummus and other are more $$$ The food was pretty good and the hot sauce is very spicy be careful.

Consistent, delicious food at excellent prices. I've only had delivery and it's always quick and hot. I love the pitas and I would buy the hot sauce by the jar if I could find it. Portions are generous and the plates make pretty good leftovers and have a good variety with the rice and salad.

The famous Halal Guys chicken over rice, originated in the heart of Manhattan in 53th and 6th Avenue. Since the food truck days, the expansion into brick and mortar stores added some other options such as sides, olives, onions, jalapeños, etc. and even fries!

The taste is somewhat subdued from the original hot plates from the food truck, but when you are 200 miles away from the original food truck, this can satisfy your taste buds.

Definitely recommended to those who are craving for some late night comfort food, expect to pay a slight premium for it vs. food truck in NYC though.

I must give credit for this store location. There is only one location in boston so having another one helps alot . Now this store is very organized , clean and the ambience is top notch . The staff are friendly and are very hospitable. I will recommend visiting this store for people in the somerville/medford area. My favourite is the chicken and beef gyro platter . I also get a side of hummus 😋. Its located at white street . For easier location its in the shopping complex with star market .

I came here for the BOGO opening event. It was lit! The staff were very kind and provided water for people waiting in line in the hot sun. There was a DJ inside, balloons, and a ribbon cutting ceremony with the mayor of Cambridge.

I got 2 of the combo platters which lasted me for 4 meals -- not bad for $11 per platter. I liked the chicken a lot more than the beef gyro. The chicken was fresh and juicy while the beef was a bit dry and didn't have as good of a flavor. The chicken is obviously being prepared very fresh. I would definitely just get a chicken plate next time.

The salad seemed fresh and the pita bread and rice were good sides. The sauces were the usual Halal Guys sauces (I had forgotten how spicy that hot sauce was!). I'm happy to have them in Porter and am looking forward to stopping by again!
