Chango Kitchen

Initially I had ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich but they served me with Pork Sandwich.

When I asked them to replace it with Chicken sandwich they served me a chicken sandwich in which the meat was UNCOOKED.

This place was empty on a Saturday no wonder why.

This was our first time trying Cuban cuisine and we were impressed. All the dishes we tried were well seasoned and had a really good flavor. The staff was quite attentive and answered all the questions we had. We didn’t know what to order first so we decided to get Plato de Chango which was a big plate of assorted Cuban appetizers. Everything was delicious. Their Cilantro sauce with Yucca fries was so good that we ordered extra sauce on the side. We’d never tasted anything like their Pimiento Piquidillo. It’s a must try if you’re vegetarian. The veg quesadilla was good too. In main, we had Mofongos with Roasted Pork. I felt it was a bit dry to my liking but honestly I’m not sure how you’re supposed to eat it. I will be researching more on that. All in all, we loved dining at Chango Kitchen and the fact that they had so many options to choose from. We did have to wait for 20 mins to get seated because we couldn’t find a way to reserve the table but we didn’t mind because the weather was nice. It was worth it because the food was delicious and surprisingly at a decent price. Highly recommend!

Came here to eat this week. The food is so delicious and the services is very good as well. I will be back. Try the empanadas and the guava cheesecake. Picadillo was also excellent. We are going back tomorrow. Thank you Chango kitchen

Being Cuban and from Miami I tend to have high expectations. However, this was just not it for me. Came in on a Wednesday for lunch. Left disappointed. The croquetas were still slightly cold inside and a bit too “seasoned” for my taste. The oxtail lunch special was ok. The sauce seemed like it had too much going on. And the beans were mediocre. My partner had lechon and it was better than the oxtail, but was still lacking. I’m glad I tried it, but won’t be doing that again…

Absolute fav Cuban/Latin cuisine in Jersey!

They are BYOB place and their mixer was pretty tasty! The food was tasty and big variety! I loved getting small plates and trying different options.

Great spot for some amazing food that doesnt break the bank! Went here with my partner and we had a wonderful time. The service was very friendly and hospitable and the food was great! I look forward to coming back :)

Found an awesome spot for Cuban fare in Hoboken, NJ: Chango Kitchen. Very friendly and courteous service; the appetizers (not pictured because we dug in ASAP!) and food were delicious! Cuban music completes the cozy and lively atmosphere. Our first but not last visit for sure.
