This is the second time I have been in this theatre. An iconic venue to watch your favorite musical artist up close and personal. I don’t think there is a bad seat but there are some really good ones to choose from. Had the privilege of seeing Casting Crowns 20th anniversary tour with a string orchestra accompanying them. I previously was able to see Casting Crowns at the Greensboro Coliseum in NC, but needed binoculars to even see the stage. Here was a whole different story and a much better experience. I am looking forward to my next concert event at the Alabama Theatre.
Great experience every time I go! AL Theatre has comfortable seats and nice bathrooms. Concession menu could approve. However, the Ledisi Concert was amazing!
Wonderful theatre!!! Great for concerts, movies, plays, dance performances, orchestras, and anything else that you can imagine. Awesome acoustics, seating, concessions, lighting and atmosphere, not to mention the history. Everyone should see the Alabama Theatre, at least once in their lifetime.
This was my 2nd visit to the Alabama Theater for a concert. The last time was for Styx in 2022 and this time it was for George Lynch. They were both awesome shows. It is an excellent venue for both acoustics and aesthetics. I'm looking forward to going again in the future
Family tradition to watch Die Hard every Christmas. I've been to many other events and always had a great time. Beautiful theater and the renovations they've made are outstanding. Love this place and proud to have such a gorgeous venue in Birmingham. Long live Big Bertha!
Amazing night at the Alabama Theater! We celebrated a family member’s birthday and saw “Christmas Vacation”. It was so good and we got to meet organist Gary Jones after the movie and visit with him a little. Everyone was so nice and friendly and accommodating! It was a general admission show but we all had the Christmas spirit and were patient with each other and the occasional crying baby and the lines for concessions. One of the most fun holiday experiences we’ve had in years!
The venue was extremely beautiful! Seat placement is amazing, since no matter where you sit, you have clear line of sight to the stage. The seats are so comfortable. We sat through the full concert and I didn't have any issues with my back for the whole show. I will definitely be returning to the Alabama Theatre!
Excellent historic theater. Good place to see touring acts that are hard to get tix for in Atl. Nice people..the only huge knock is the area around looks like a bomb hit it, really run down and broken.
It's splendor has not diminished after all these years! And the pipe organ "Big Berta" still sounds incredible. Highly recommend catching any show here.
Best movie theater and concert venue I have ever visited. The opulent decorations and organ pipes give the auditorium an almost baroque appearance and the moment the mighty Wurlitzer organ ascends from the stage floor and fills the air with secular, sometimes whimsical, sometimes densely layered music, I am entering a state of childlike awe and wonder. Even the most mundane activity can create moments that stop you in your tracks. Every time I descend the stairs to the restrooms and enter the foyer, I am catapulted into a movie scene.
We had a great time at the Alabama theater. The atmosphere was lit. 85 south killed it.
Beautifully nostalgic theater with spectacular art and decor on the walls. This place is stunning. We went for the Jackson Browne concert and would definitely go back for more
We saw the fabulous Tori Amos here. Beautiful Venue, great acoustics, wonderfully pleasant staff! Hope to see more events here.
